This coming Sunday October 9th at The Waiting Room presents an extraordinary Neur-Opera by Sonic Philanderer and Surrealist Composer Ergo Phizmiz - THE THIRD POLICEMAN

The Third Policeman is an electronic neur-opera based on Flann O’Brien’s perplexing masterpiece. Part thriller, part comedy, part science-fiction, this radical adaptation combines stagecraft, animation, shadow puppetry, and distinctive, unforgettable music into an astounding composite for the ears and eyes. Expect bicycles, murder, atomic theory, typewriters, infinity, and sweets.

The Third Policeman is a truly 21st century artwork, using a wide array of creative methods and approaches in handmade and digital art to bring Ergo’s idiosyncratic take on Flann O’Brien’s already idiosyncratic world to life.

Created in collaboration with a host of artists who can only be described in today’s incessant jargon as “outsiders”, and performed by a cast of non-trained singers and comedians, with visual influences from Eastern European animation and musical references rangin g from British dance bands to intricate electronic music, it will be an unforgettable and unique sensory experience.

This is a 60 minute opera, from 8pm on Sunday night October 9th. Darling of London's Resonance FM, and Radio 3 Ergo Phizmiz will play a fascinating 1920's dj set from 6.30pm when food will be served. Food will also be served after 9pm when assorted songwriter performers will take to the stage. (Food won't be served during The Third Policeman).

Tickets are £10, available here. 'though as sponsors of the event we do have an allocation of free tickets for mailing listers! please apply by email.
