Next up for The Kids Are Solid Gold at the Westgarth is Brighton's finest, The Miserable Rich. Containing members of The Leisure Society, Sons of Noel and Adrian, and ex-Hope of the States, this talented bunch wowed us when the supported Woodpigeon a couple of years or so ago. Well now they're here headlining in their own right in support of their new album and we're really thrilled to be bringing them back to town. One of region's best music websites, Suitcase Orchestra, has featured the band on a number of occasions recently and you can read what they've got to say here:

 

As for The Miserable Rich, here's what the the guys have to say about their return visit to Teesside: “Back to the Westgarth - we played here with Woodpigeon on our first album tour and have been looking forward to seeing the warm and enthusiastic crown again. Good to be back in Reeves and Mortimer territory and all.”

NEW SHOW - JUST CONFIRMED

We are proud to announce that Roddy Woomble will be performing a super-intimate show for us at the Cluny 2, Newcastle Upon Tyne on Sat 2nd April 2011. There are just 160 (unreserved seating) tickets available for this show and they are on sale now from this link:  If there is sufficient interest then we hope to get a mini bus up to take Teesside-based Roddy fans to the show. This will be a great way to spend a Saturday evening!

 

We will also be making an announcement regarding two additional new shows on Monday 4th October. They are real crackers too!
