In March the band play -

Saturday 6 MIDDLESBROUGH Uncle Albert’s

Thursday 18 NEWCASTLE  Stein Bier Keller

Sunday 21 SUNDERLAND The Borough

The controversial band - named after Norman Mailer’s seminal 50s beat essay - have been described as ‘stadium rock in a workingmen’s club’ and ‘like U2 on glue!’

In their two decades together the notorious group have drunk The Stranglers’ entire rider backstage at the Newcastle Heineken Music Festival, broke into the film set of the children’s TV show Teletubbies and put the head of Parlophone A&R in a ‘whitey’ when he came to sign them.

Now the best band the region has arguably ever produced are taking the legend on the road to play for the devoted and curious alike.
