There is a raging maelstrom centring on the Nags Head, Lazenby. Anchor Fast Anchor is an irresistible force constantly on the verge of lurching out of control.

For three people to wage such an aural assault is a feat in itself. James, Ryan and Lee produce short, sharp, pulsating epics that are a challenge to all your senses.

I have witnessed them live on their home turf, the Nags Head at Lazenby on three occasions now, each a real experience I can tell you. I’ve stuck this video on to try to capture something of the intensity of an Anchor Fast Anchor performance. James vocals are fighting for air and finally swamped by the mix, lost in the swirl of Ryan’s distorted guitar, whilst sparks fly from his own axel grinding six string. Meanwhile Lee is absolutely pulverising the drum kit. It’s explosive…

I tell you what this band could be huge unless they blow themselves apart first. Just like an AFA gig it’s all tottering on a knife edge. If you like your music safe and easy you won’t want to immerse yourself in the Anchor Fast Anchor experience.

The song below is called 'Veteran of a thousand psychedelic wars.' Big title for an awesome slab of sound.
