Maximo Park singer, Paul Smith, has announced a special Teesside Album Launch Show for his new solo album at the The Waiting Room, Eaglescliffe, Sunday October 28th, 7pm. A great chance to be up close and personal for a very special and intimate launch event.

Teesside’s own Paul Smith is best known as the singer of Maximo Park. His Waiting Room show marks the release of ‘Diagrams’, his third solo album of romantic alt-pop. This will be an opportunity to hear a more intimate side to his songwriting and enjoy some of the new material stripped back to just Paul and his guitar.

The Waiting Room vegetarian restaurant - voted "Best Restaurant in The UK" by The Vegetarian Society - has been putting on gigs and art shows in their back room cabaret bar for the past 20 years.

This autumn's lineup in full: 2.9 Futureheads' frontman Barry Hyde (sold out), 9.9. Andy Jones v Andy Johnson, 16.9 Donald Trumps (Viz Comedy Gameshow) (sold out), 23.9 R.M. Hubbert + Dressed Like Wolves, 30.9 Scarred for Life; growing up terrified in the 70's (sold out), 7.10 Civil Insolencies; Epic Poetry from bob Beagrie + Peg Powler, 14.10 Say Sue Me (Korean Surf Rock) + Moniker, 21.10 Emily Barker (Aussie/Americana folk artist of the year 2018), 28.10 Paul Smith, 4.11 Secret Show, 11.11 Bush Gothic (Australian folk artists) 18.11 Mary Lattimore (New York folk with harp).

R.M. Hubbert - This coming Sunday September 23rd - Incredible guitarist of the influential Glasgow slowcore scene.
