The Ninth Wave will headline The Storytellers stage at Stockton Calling. Teesside promoters The Kids Are Solid Gold have today announced their line up along with additional bands for The Georgian Theatre, The Green Room, Room 21 at Stockton's multi venue Easter Saturday music festival.

The Storytellers stage, curated by Teesside promoters The Kids are Solid Gold will be headlined by The Ninth Wave -  a noise pop four piece from Glasgow influenced by 80s new wave and goth pop music creating their own unique identity. Brooding synths, jagged guitars and female against male vocals carve this sound. They have been compared to the likes of Pixies and The Cure.

They’ll be joined on the bill by The Snuts, Kioko, The Howl & The Hum, Rascalton, The Seamonsters, Feva, Upstairs Open, and Plastic.

The organisers of Stockton Calling are pleased to announce more artists for the festival which takes place on Saturday 31st March. Over 50% of tickets have already been sold and with another headliner to come and a special addition for ARC’s stage to be announced, it’s recommended that festival goers get theirs as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Additional bands added to the line-up are north-east rockers Twister who’ll play The Georgian Theatre, Tomorrow Bird who will take to NARC Magazine’s The Green Room stage, and McCormick who open up the Room 21 stage.

Stockton Calling has made a name for itself over the years by bringing some of the country’s most established names, the brightest national rising stars and the best regional acts together for an amazing day of live music.

Other acts already announced include: Lightning Seeds, Field Music, We Are Scientists, The Spitfires, Mouses, Llovers, Mark Morriss, Cape Cub, Fire the Unstoppable Force, Plaza, Queen Zee and The Sasstones, Man & The Echo, Tom Joshua, Twisted Wheel, Mi Mye, Abel Raise the Cain, The Old Pink House, Serinette, Echo Town, Napoleon IIIrd, Leddie MC and many more.
