The organisers of Stockton Calling are pleased to announce sixteen more bands for the ninth edition of the festival, taking place on Saturday 31st March. Hot on the heels of the release of their latest single, Llovers are making waves with their own brand of indie-pop and will appear at ARC.

Ex-Bluetones front-man Mark Morriss opens the ARC stage with his solo acoustic act.

Polished indie-pop music from Cape Cub on the KU stage. Boasting millions of Spotify plays and a serious work ethic to back it up, it won’t be long before they’re a household name.

Raucous psych-rock from Hull’s highly rated Fire the Unstoppable Force at KU.

After a triumphant 2017 that has seen their star on the rise, including performances at Reading/Leeds, Hartlepool’s Plaza play at The Georgian Theatre.

Queen Zee and The Sasstones are on the lips of all the music press at the moment. Tipped as one of the bands of 2018, they bring their incendiary show to The Georgian Theatre stage.

Combining glam, soul and new wave indie into their own particular brand of rock ‘n’ roll, Warrington’s Man & The Echo also play The Georgian Theatre.

Needing no introduction to local audiences, Tom Joshua’s unassuming but unique takes on life and love are breaking hearts across the country. A homegrown superstar in the making, he plays The Georgian Theatre.

Manchester punk ‘n’ rollers, Twisted Wheel are back on the road and playing at ARC ahead of their full UK tour later in the year.

Wakefield’s Mi Mye create lush, emotional soundscapes and will be playing at The Georgian Theatre.

Teesside’s Abel Raise the Cain open up The Georgian Theatre stage with their epic, anthem filled post-rock.

Combining blissful psych harmonies with electronica, Newcastle’s The Old Pink House headline the Vault stage.

Teesside pop-rock outfit Serinette will headline the Musiclounge stage.

Cornwall’s Echo Town bring chilled acoustic surf vibes to The Vault.

Darlings of the indie press Napoleon IIIrd head to Whole Latte Love with their off-kilter atmospheric creations.

Middlesbrough rapper Leddie MC also appears at Whole Latte Love following a stellar 2017 with BBC radio play and the release of her critically acclaimed first solo record.

Headline acts already announced are Lightning Seeds, Field Music, We Are Scientists, The Spitfires, and Mouses. With more than 50 artists still to be announced, tickets are flying out for this year’s event with two months to go.
The following venues will all have stages at this year’s event: ARC, The Georgian Theatre, Ku, The Storytellers, The Green Room, Room 21, Musiclounge, Whole Latte Love, and The Vault. Pop-up stages to be confirmed at a later date.

Stockton Calling has made a name for itself over the years by bringing some of the country’s most established names, the brightest national rising stars and the best regional acts together for an amazing day of live music.
