Middlesbrough-born author and illustrator Katy Hudson is unveiling her latest book Too Many Carrots at two hometown events.

Katy was raised in Middlesbrough and started her illustration career as a small child drawing on freshly painted walls around the house leading her parents to encourage drawing with pencil and paper instead.

Too Many Carrots is Katy’s second solo work, following Bear and Duck which received strong reviews. She has also won awards for her illustrative work in other publications.

She will be hosting a fun crafts and reading session at Acklam Library on Monday, February 15 from 11am-noon. A further session will be held at Middlesbrough Central Library on Tuesday, February 16, again from 11am-noon.

The events are suitable for children aged eight and under and places are free but must be booked ahead. To reserve a place at Acklam Library call 01642 817810 and for Central Library call 01642 729002.
