The Classics will be in fine voice at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt on Sunday 6 December, with local singers setting the scene for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon in the third of the Town Hall’s current series of Classical Café concerts.

Part of the Town Hall’s classical season thanks to funding from Arts Council England, the Classical Café has an emphasis on emerging and established local musicians.

VOX, directed by Jeremy Harbottle, is a mixed voice choir founded in 2006 by John Forsyth.

Rob Guest of Middlesbrough Town Hall said: “The choir regularly play concerts throughout the North East and North Yorkshire, and we’re really looking forward to seeing them here at the Town Hall.

“They have an exciting and wide-ranging repertoire, everything from Renaissance to Rock, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

“This will be the third Classical Café of the season here, and they are a really enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

“It’s a great way to see some fantastic emerging local musicians and singers in a relaxed and friendly setting, and you can even enjoy a coffee and cake while you listen.”
