After rocking the region this year for their 25th anniversary, legendary North East band The White Negroes are set to play a final Middlesbrough show.
The Teesside group have been celebrating their Silver Jubilee this year with show-stealing performances at the likes of the Willowman Festival, Stockton Calling and 4 People Not Profit Festival.
Now the Hartlepool band are bringing the curtain down on their 25th anniversary with a final show in the Boro with a special appearance at TSOne on Sunday, November 8.
TSOneWhite Negroes spokesman 'Sweet' Dick Funk said: "The Negroes were pretty much the house band at the legendary Cactus club nights at Middlesbrough Arena in the mid 90s, appearing on the same stage as the likes of Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene and the Stereophonics in the golden Brit pop era.
"Liam Gallagher even stole Negroes' singer Ish's walk!
"The Negroes also played many memorable shows in the Boro at the Cornercopia all-dayers at the Cornerhouse and latterly at Middlesbrough Music Live.
"The band are bringing the curtain down on 25 years of rockin' the Boro and look forward to seeing fans of the band old and new at the show."
The White Negroes play TSOne on Sunday November 8, onstage at 9.30pm, alongside Manchester band the Twisted Dolls and local singer Charles Tomas. Admission is FREE!
