The Georgian Theatre in Stockton will welcome award winning reggae artist Finley Quaye and critically acclaimed Newcastle band Lanterns on the Lake to perform on Friday 4th April and Sunday 6th April, respectively, and The Green Room sees the welcome return of one-man band Bob Log III on Monday 28th April.

The Scottish singer Quaye shot to fame in 1997 with the release of his multi-platinum selling album Maverick A Strike which featured hits singles Sunday Shining, Your Love Gets Sweeter, Even After All and It’s Great When We’re Together.

The success of the album was cemented when it went Gold after just three weeks, as well as winning Best British Male at the BRITs and Best Reggae Act at the MOBOs. His track Dice, featuring Beth Orton and produced by William Orbit, featured in transatlantic smash show The O.C.

Finley’s set at the Georgian Theatre on Friday 4th April is a rare acoustic solo outing for the gravelly toned singer and tickets are selling quickly. Tickets are priced at £10.50 advance (subject to booking fees), £13 on the door.

Critically acclaimed quintet Lanterns on the Lake top off a chilled out weekend of music at the venue on Sunday 6th April, with their exquisitely crafted blend of symphonic rock, folk and electronics.

The bands debut Gracious Tide Take Me Home received wide critical acclaim with Q, MOJO, Uncut and The Independent giving the album 4/5 stars and Artrocker giving it top marks. It led to live sessions with 6Music and festival appearances at SXSW, Glastonbury, Bestival and End of the Road.

“Bella Union’s latest signing is well versed in treading the line between dainty folk and emotional, widescreen rock… They do this in the most beautiful way possible: a pure and sublime debut.” Artrocker

The bands second album Until The Colours Run is more soulful and dynamic than its predecessor. In sound, it’s both harder and more, and a more emotionally and politically charged experience, as singer/lyricist Hazel Wilde paints unflinching portraits of what she sees. It’s a haunting, often devastating combination.

Drowned in Sound said the album, released in October 2013, was "One of the best records of the young decade". The band heads to Teesside after a tour of North America to support the release of the album. Tickets go on sale Friday 14th February and are priced £8.50 in advance (subject to booking fees), and £11 on the door.

One-man whirlwind Bob Log III returns to The Green Room on Monday 28th April after an absolutely unforgettable sold out show in 2013, which saw the American start the gig by crowd surfing in a rubber dingy!

Witnessing Bob Log live is an unmissable and unforgettable experience. By rights he should be a punk blues stadium super star. He takes to the stage with his face masked in a crash helmet with a black visor and a telephone wired in it for a mic and wearing a blue jump suit.

Bob then unleashes a torrent of hardcore Mississippi Delta blues, hip-hop beats and punk rock. The crash helmet telephone distorts the vocals and his hands, arms, legs and feet become a blur of jump suit clad limbs as he plays slide, triggers drum machines and drums with his feet simultaneously.

Bob then adds extra ingredients to this punk blues bouillabaisse with his unique version of audience participation. More often them not he’ll bounce a couple of audience members on his knees while playing.

The event sold out in 2013 and tickets are limited for this years event. Priced at £10.50 (subject to booking fees) in advance, early booking is recommended.

Tickets for all events are available online from, 01642 606525 or in person from Green Dragon Studios, all prices are subject to booking fees.
