PRESTIGIOUS ANNUAL LECTURE TO BE HELD AT DORMAN MUSEUM

The 2013 Elgee Memorial Lecture takes place at Middlesbrough’s Dorman Museum on Saturday, December 7.

The annual event is held to mark the achievements of archaeologist, geologist, naturalist and former Dorman Museum Curator Frank Elgee (1880-1944).

This year’s Lecture is being organised by Cleveland and Teesside Local History Society.

The Society’s Chairman, Barry Harrison, well-known researcher and author on the history of the region, will be giving an illustrated presentation on Gentry and Peasant Housing in the North Riding and County Durham 1300-1750.

Visitors wishing to attend the talk are welcome from 10am for 10.30am, Saturday, December 7, at the Dorman Museum off Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough TS5 6LA
