It’s Inside Out’s 2nd Birthday this Easter and to celebrate we have some rock n roll related fun stuff going on in Darlington over Easter Weekend!

On Friday 10th April Ashby-de-la-Zouche's favourite sons The Young Knives are coming to town to play a special show for us!

Known for their energetic live performances and their impeccable taste in tweed suits, Transgressive Records stars The Young Knives deal in sharp post punk and fight in the same corner as bands like The Rakes, The Futureheads and Good Shoes. They’ve released two Top 40 albums, been nominated for the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize and have a third album ready to drop later this year.

Doors open at 8.00pm and tickets are available now from In Arcadia, Skinnergate, Darlington; Sound It Out, Yarm Lane, Stockton, Rocket Retro Clothing, Grange Road, Middlesbrough and online from www.ticketweb.co.uk

Tickets are £8 advance or £10 on the door – this includes entry to the Amplified club night afterwards.

On Sunday 12th April Amplified presents an indie pop all-dayer live in Seen from 3.00pm… This event is FREE! There’ll be lots of ace local bands playing and a tasty Barbeque on the terrace. Here’s the line-up:

The Bishops – 10.00 – 10.30pm

Sharp of suit and floppy of fringe, The Bishops take the best bits of The Beatles and The Coral to produce a sound that will make you fall at their feet. Album out on W2 this summer!

The High Plane Drifters – 9.00 – 9.30pm

Raw and ragged psychedelic garage blues duo from Teesside, The High Plane Drifters have toured with the likes of The Black Diamond Heavies and Immortal League County Killers and are off to the USA later this year.

Lifetime Skiver – 8.00 – 8.30pm

Darlington favourites Lifetime Skiver play anthemic indie pop and describe their sound as ‘The Super Furry Animals fighting with New Order in a Liverpool subway.’

Shrug – 7.00 – 7.30pm

Featuring local hero sir Rob Nichols, Shrug describe themselves as ‘Half Man Half Biscuit lunacy and early Fall Gone Wrong’. Legends!

Corilian – 6.00 – 6.30pm

PROPER ROCK like it used to be done! Mudhoney meets Black Rebel meets The Doors. Ace.

Education Education Education – 5.00 – 5.30pm

Featuring Emmett and Callum from The Oxfam Glamour Models, Education Education Education are Teessides newiest, sexiest and gobbiest band. We salute them.

Rattlecat – 4.00 – 4.30pm

2 members of Maginot Line + 1 member of them Amazing Babies + 2 acoustic guitars = Darlington’s newest supergroup!

And to finish the weekend off in style, we have WHO’S WHO – The Ultimate Tribute to The Who playing live at Inside Out afterwards. Doors 10.30pm, onstage at midnight. Don’t miss it!
