Who are your club and why?

I support the one and only Newcastle United.  I was born into it; the whole family had season tickets and had one waiting for me when I was old enough.  It’s in my blood.

What is the earliest memory you have of your club?

David Kellys goal that clinched promotion for us away to Grimsby back in 1993.

Can you remember the first match you ever went to see?

It was a one all draw with Leeds at St James park.  Andy Cole notched for the black and whites.

Do you have a pre match ritual either as a player or as a fan?

As player I always make sure I’m the last in line when we walk out onto the pitch.  As a fan I don’t really have one.  I just hope and pray.

What is your favourite half time snack?

As a player I always have an orange at half time to refuel and keep energy levels up for the second half.  As a fan at St James there is nothing better than a half time hot dog.

Is there a Newcastle game that stands out as your favourite ever game?

My favourite game of all time was the 3-2 victory over Barcelona in the champions league.  The fact that we were in the champions league was good enough but the way that we battered them with Tino’s hat-trick topped it off.

Favourite manager?

Kevin Keegan of course.  I just loved the way that the entertainers came about and the way that king Kev sent out his side.  He loved the club and the fans, just wish it could have ended differently.

Favourite ever kit?

There isn’t really a kit that stands out for me.  I just love the famous black and white however it sits on the jersey.

Proudest moment as a fan?

The 5-0 drubbing of Man United.  It’s not often that this kind of thing happens to Fergies boys and the way that we did it was quite special.  Philippe Alberts goal topped off a rather happy day for me.

If you had to convince somebody to support your club what would you say?

Just come up to the north east, have a look at the amazing stadium and feel the passion of the people.  It is a true football city.

If your club ceased to exist what would you do? Who would you support?

Put it this way.  I would stay as far away from Sunderland as I could.  It would probably have to be Gateshead.
