Tim Howard, Everton


*Got his start in pro soccer with the Major League Soccer club New York Metrostars from 1998-2003.


*After playing in America, Howard moved to Manchester United for two seasons, replacing Fabian Barthez.


*While at his first season for United, he was named in the PFA Best XI.


*Saved the decisive penalty kick during the 2003 Community Shield versus Arsenal.


*He is signed with Premiership club Everton until the 2012-2013 season.


*As of June 2008, Howard has 94 appearances for the US national team.


*Since the 2006 World Cup, Howard has replaced Kasey Keller as the United States’ top keeper.


*Suffers from Tourette syndrome and works with several organizations to help children afflicted with the disease. For his work, he was named the 2001 MLS Humanitarian of the Year.
