Sport without an audience

The long awaited second wave of Covid seems to be upon us -- I'm wondering how it'll affect sport in general? From a global point of view it looks as though we'll be into some sort of modified shutdown before autumn -- and with it it's beginning to look very much like we'll be into sport minus the audience well into 2021-- maybe even 2022. The cancellation of audiences this week kind of spells doom for many of the lower levels of sport-- I just can't see how the authorities will give us the green light if there's a spike here and there. Even with vaccine it'll be trial and error -- measured over months perhaps years before we have something which can be acknowledged as a stable and healthy environment in which to conduct everyday activities.
