Kevin Blackwell and Ronnie Jepson.

Does anybody think these two could be our manager and assistant next season if Warnock does retire? Both already at the club under Warnock and both experienced managers in there own right and worked under Warnock in getting teams promoted. I'm not saying it's a good or bad idea, just curious if this thought has crossed anybody else's mind.

It's an interesting idea. They have both been around the block a bit and have bags of experience.

I am sure if we stay up then Warnock would probably give Gibson some advice on what's needed and missing.

Nah,
I think Blackwell is a Number 2. Hes managed Sheff united and Leeds , but effectively failed at both and I think he prefers to avoid the gold fish bowl that is modern management.
Bit early to speculate on who's succeeding Warnock , we've only had 1 game!

Can we ever have a management team without thinking up all these scenarios to keep them around forever lol.

What the phuck was Tony Pullis' advice?

Get a few lower league chumps in and stick woody in as manager until you can afford a proper manager?

Pulis advice, get rid of Braithwaite, bamford, Forshaw, Johnson, Fletcher, play with Britt on his own, and bring in flint, and saville.

Yeah this crossed my mind too, would be a standard Gibson move. Assuming it will be Blackwell or Pearson.

I listen to the under the cosh podcast from time to time and blackwell comes up a lot. Not sure I've heard a single player who's played under him say anything nice about him - and some of them have said really good stuff about other managers they've played under.

So yeh I hope not.

Wow, just listened to Chris Sedgwick talk about him there, Blackwell sounds like a piece of work when he has the manager's role.

I cant see Warnock retiring but if he did Gibson would probably give the job to Gary Gill on the basis hes a local lad and cheap [|)]

Warnock scrapes us a win and suddenly we're hiring his 2 ancient assistants as our next managerial combo. Boro fans [:D]

Kevin Blackwell last time as a manager was 7/8 years and you think he's the man to take over once Colin retired? Makes sense Lol...

He won't be a manager again anyway...
