Exploiting the fact more are at home and the belief you need their services. Change to Virgin - youíll get a deal off them.

Sky will price match that BT deal at the very least.

Give them a ring and tell them you're going to have to cancel due to the price and you're just enquiring about what notice you have to give etc.

Lay it on thick, say you're tightening finances because of Covid. Be nice but hold your ground, tell them the BT price is much more like it and you'll probably switch to them.

If they don't offer you the discount, ask to be put through to the cancellation team.

They'll offer you the discount.

I do this little dance with Sky annually, usually get about 25% off.

I did the same - wanted to see if I could get a discount, so called. Usual merry-go-round but I was that sick I told them to cancel. The following day I went into my sky acct menu and there was a 50% off offer in there. They always put an offer in there..just different % off if you stay. Worth having a look on your Sky menu bud.

I did the usual "threatening to leave" procedure in Feb and got my bill reduced by about £50 a month .
They included fibre which had not been in the package previously. I was satisfied, but now over Covid19 trouble and the Sky Sports cancelation they have fiddled the bill up £10. I will bear this for now, but 1 more increase and I'm off.

Lock in to another 18 month contract every Black Friday deal. They are supposed to be for new customers but they will do the offer for an existing one as long as you sign another 18 months.
My bill is £74 a month for Fibre Max, Landline, Sports HD, Movies HD, Entertainment with Boxsets HD, Netflix and two Sky Q mini's in the bedrooms.
£2.50 a day between me and the OH, I think it's decent value and no faffing about.
