Will NW be manager next season?

Not sure how long his contract is, but will he be manager next season?
I would like to see a young guy come in under him for a season and learn from NW's vast experience so that we can build for the future

8 game contract. He said he had practically retired and publicly he was looking for a short term job.

He's 71 and lives in Cornwall. He has said travelling home from Cardiff was taking its tole so never mind Boro.

Hopefully he keeps us up. If he does then questions will be asked about longterm.

Just get these 7 games done and dusted. He may even 'assist' in choosing a new gaffer.

I would love him to stay on, but due to the issues mentioned, I can't see it happening.

Begs the question, who else? Is there a younger version of him out there? I don't think so, bit of a dying breed.

This idea of a young guy coming in and then taking over - when does that ever work?

Hopefully, convincing a man who has a English record of 8 promotions under his belt to stay should be the priority. Would rather give Warnock a few extra million to stay than waste it on another manager who will be fired within a year or another XXXXXXe signing.

I don't think we've brought in a manager who has had success at a lower level during the SG era.

Would like to see someone with a track record of success who would see us as a step up.

I think NW will be sorely tempted to carry on If he keeps us up and make a push for promotion next season if he has a similar squad with one or two purchases.

If he decides itís too far away from Cornwall (which he might) then Iíd go for Alex Neil For me close to a modern day NW.

No, no, no, no. We have just had that with Woodgate. He was under Karanka and Pulis. Doesnít work at MFC. Same with Southgate. Doesnít work. Itís just too much of a risk. Let these young guys prove themselves in the lower leagues and then be given a chance. If we want to get back in the Prem we need experienced guys. It only worked with Robson because he had good Financial backing

Alex Neil is a great shout. He would need a budget to get him out of PNE.

I always think Paul Cook does a decent job at Wigan. He's always working on scraps. Lee Bowyer? He must have had enough of Charlton

The champo is a funny old league. We've seen the likes of Gary Rowett and Neil Harris do decent jobs with new clubs. I would prefer someone who's had a few clubs and experienced.

Actually think Warnock is a really good fit for us.

Championship specialist, as close to a guarantee as you can get at this level.

Him and Gibbo clearly have a bit of a [LOVE] going on.

If we keep up performances like Saturday, which was excellent, I think he'll be hard pushed to turn us down for a season. Sure Gibson would make it worth his while moneywise and give him flexibility to not be on the training ground every day. Way better idea to spend 3 million on a manager who knows what he's doing than 10 million on new players.

One thing that stood out for me was how easy it all looked on Saturday - play your best players, a simple system with simple instructions, make simple game management choices and we won easily. Remarkable performance after four days of training.

I can see us doing a QPR sort of thing - go Warnock for the season, roll the dice for promotion, and if we get up replace him with foreign flavour of the month. Think Warnock prefers the Championship anyway, didn't he say that last time he was in the PL?

SG must have interviewed the football world before appointing JW ó not too sure if he has more options. However, one thing is for sure unlike Pulis, Warnock will give SG the best foot forward as far as next manager and playing staff requirements to get us back in the top half of the table. It could be a long road back.

Nigel Pearson - Dunno why he hasn't been here yet
Chris Hughton - Dunno why he hasn't been here yet

more likely to be one of these:
Patrick Vieira - Head of the elite development squad, Manchester City
Steve Round - arsenal Assistant
Liam Rosenior - Derby First Team Coach
Michael Carrick -Man Utd First Team Coach
Steve Holland - England Assistant

or maybe one of these:

Alan Pardew
Nigel Adkins
Mark Hughes
Daniel Stendel
Carlos Carvalhal
