Think I might have mild Covid 19?

Had a bit of a cough for over a week but not coughing constantly. Can feel a little tightness on the chest. My temperature rose to 37.8, but only for a day.

Apart from that I feel fine!

I wish there were facilities to just go to some sort of centre and get tested, but unfortunately not!

So I'm in limbo!

I wear ffp3 mask and nitrile gloves at work and have access to hand steriliser too.

.......or it could be just a cold!

There must be thousands in the same boat as me. Do I work or do I stay at home? 99% of my working day is working solo!

If you think you are showing symptoms you stay at home, but if you are saying you had the cough over a week, itís probably a waste of time now self isolating for 7 days.

Pretty sure I read 80% of those who thought they had symptoms test negative.

37.8 degrees is not really that high. Youve probaby had a slight cold or even hay fever.

They said yesterday that up to 1 in 4 could have had it. That's a high ratio compered to official 'defo' had.

I had a really bad 'cold' in late February. I had it for just over 2 weeks yet I usually get shot of a cold in 3-4 days. I spent 2 days in bed... Never have off a cold.

So for nearly 2 months I've been locked down and avoiding folk like the plague in supermarkets worrying I may catch it. All the time I've maybe had it[rle]

I would just stay away from people just incase.

Interesting... You liked the shoot to kill response of isolation violators in Manilla?

I've had similar symptoms and went on the government website at 10am this morning got a test appointment for 3pm today, pretty easy to be fair.

My partner teaches via Zoom to young children. One of the families, mam, dad, daughter and son were laid up for a week with fevers, coughs, fatigue and all round feeling chite. The mother worked at Derriford hospital in Plymouth as a frontline worker, they were all able to get tested. All came back negative, not the only case I have heard as well of other people being tested negative when it is very likely they were positive. Someone mentioned it briefly on here the other day. It's hard to get clear accurate picture of anything at this stage, I hope we get to see what happened and is really happening at a later stage.

There's nothing on the government website about non key members getting tested. My daughter has a mild cough so I would get a test for her but no one in our household is connected to anything 'key'.

COVID symptoms are all over the place.

I had COVID (99% sure - didn't get a test)
- first week - chest congestion and a bit of a cough (but not a dry cough). Basically felt okay. Felt hot/cold on occasions but didn't have a fever at all. Thought it might be a cold or allergies
- end of first week - wife gets a high fever (over 102 in old money), fever responds to Advil, stays in bed for 3 days then is mostly okay
- second week - dry cough, tired, achy, headaches, nausea (worst symptom in my book). Was in bed more or less for five days
- third week - recovering but really tired; cough persisted this week and next

I have three kids - 1 got a low fever for about 2 days but seemed okay; 1 had a cough for a few days; 1 didn't have any symptoms.

I'd like to get us all tested for antibodies at some point just to know who had it.

Long story short - assume your symptoms are COVID; COVID has many symptoms and not everyone even gets a fever

37.8 is roughly within normal temp spectrum.

When I had it my temp was 41. As has been said - symptoms are all over the place

Anyone over the age of 5 with symptoms can get a test now. Itís nothing to do with your employment anymore.
