The end of MFC as most know it

We are heading to mid table obscurity in league 1. Crowds of 10k and a hope that our young players will bring decent money in.

Years of bad decisions and mismanagement are coming home to roost.

We wont ever see Premiership football again unless Gibson goes. Of course if Gibson goes, that could be the end of the club entirely.

What a complete and utter clusterXXXXXX.

What a complete and utter rubbish OP. So do you want Gibson to ďgoĒ or not.
Have you seen what has happened to some of the clubs who sell out to foreign owners? Be very careful what you wish for.

I feel for the younger fans who've never experienced this before but the vicious recriminations and histrionic hissy fits by some people on here aren't going to change anything. We are where we are are. Am I happy with it? Of course not but it's been a hell of a lot worse and we came back from that and went on to some ridiculous highs afterwards.

We'll shed the high earners who aren't pulling they're weight at the end of the season, regroup and start again whichever division we're playing in. It's a hell of a cliche Jeff (or is it Geoff?) but that's just football.

Southampton and Wolves got new owners when they were relegated to league one, just saying.

One thing is certain the club is going no where under the inept ĎSirí Steve. I hope fans boycott the club if we are relegated, then he will have the club and the debt his management deserves to be will be forced to sell.

***will be forced to sell***

No he won't. Nobody can force him to sell, especially when there's nobody who wants to buy the club.

He might DECIDE to give it away but I don't see a line of philanthropists waiting to pour more money into the bottomless pit that is MFC.

The club is locked in to Gibson.
He canít sell something that has turned in to a business with such negative shareholder value and which losses money in the position he canít get it out of.
He bought ICI, S&N and Ex Mill shares at cost in 93. The club then had no financial mire and had potential.
He has transformed it into something he has no clue how to lead successfully and no way of selling to anyone to get money back out of.
Does anybody really think he can or will turn this around. You must be mad.

Indeed, he canít be forced to sell but he will be sitting at the riverside by himself in a few years as his debt goes up and up. Nothing more than he deserves.

***as his debt goes up and up***

I think Steve Gibson will have long since given up any thoughts of getting a return on his money. He has written off hundreds of million over the years of supporting MFC financially. Unless he's gone nuts he must know that he'll never see any money back from MFC.

It's just a question of reducing the losses now to keep MFC afloat in some guise.
