Yorkshire Tea

I bet they weren't expecting this. Although the attention might work in their favour.

Also, did you know that Yorkshire tea isn't actually grown in Yorkshire. Some very clever people on Twitter have pointed this out.[rle]

I would think it's more decent free advertising. I am not sure how folk can be offended or boycott tea[rle]

even JC drinks Yorkshire tea, why do Muppets on the left get so easily outraged? If I were a Tory MP I'd have my pic taken with every nice brand of soft big roll leaving only that sandpaper we had at school for the "outraged" lefties. 😁

Gormless people boycotting it.

I'm sure I saw Boris Johnson drinking a pint once, best boycott that too.

Taylorís import their tea through Teesport, so any boycott will risk damaging local jobs.

Just had Amazon ship me a big bag of 1040 Yorkshire tea bags over here.

My friend has 1 bag of over 1000 tea bags on the go here. Plus a second one as a reserve. As him and his missus drink so much of it.

LOL except your example is pretty much made up xxlshirts... and there's no boycotting of brands involved - so all in all, no comparison [^]

FWIW - I think it's ridiculous the things people get het up about these days, regardless of political leaning.

PG Tips for me.

Itís possible to grow tea in the UK.

The whole chancellor and Yorkshire tea thing is a storm in a tea cup... heís unintentional promoted a British brand which isnít a bad thing and as usual itís been used as a political tool by rabid labour supporters.

I have no loyalty to any brand of tea, I couldnít even tell you what I was drinking half the time. The best cuppa I have though is at the soft play I take my 2 year old son, maybe that just because he can run around and I can relax for 2 minutes.

I think it's heartening to learn that they've found something to do in the Treasury that's within Sunak's skill set. Of course I'm making the rash assumption that he managed to get the tea out of the pot without spilling it or scalding his privates.
