Hammersmith and then walk down Fulham Palace Road, or The Dukes Head across Putney Bridge on the river.

Ones near the ground will be rammed.

The Rocket in Putney is a Spoons pub and is fairly nice, also The Boathouse next door.

On Putney High St there is The Spotted Horse which is good and also near the river is the Star and Garter

All of these places are a 10 minute walk over Putney Bridge and through Bishops Park

Bricklayers arms is always packed with Fulham fans before a game, but they are usually a friendly bunch.

Went there last time Spike (couple of seasons ago) and it was pretty quiet.
No matter - its a decent pub and most will be busy that time of night

1finny -I'm obviously at that age when I think a pub is packed if I can't find a seat. Still, it's a nice pint in there.

Yes DCI Eight bells is the one you're on about...

Tbh best to drink in Covent Garden....

Covent Garden?? Are you on drugs? I wouldn't booze there unless you want packed pubs with tourists and an extra 2 on every pint you buy. Steer well clear IMO. But I think you may be on a wind up anyway.

Decent pub at the top of Putney high street ,
Hare and Hounds , beer prices are ok and they do food. About a 15 minute walk to the ground down
the high street over the bridge , through the park.
A minutes walk from Putney rail station.

The Bricklayers is always rammed with people overflowing into the yard, I've been going there for years before Fulham games. A shame someone has recommended it to the masses.

You should have gone there for the game when we drew 1-1 with a late equaliser.
There was loads of room outside because the 12 or so people drinking there chose to stay inside for some reason.

Putney is blessed with loads of good pubs.

Star and Garter
Dukes Head
Half Moon
Bricklayers Arms

or just off Upper Richmond Rd is the Jolly Gardeners. Great pub but it's a bit further away.

If you go the other way, up Fulham Rd, then there's the Hollywood Arms on Hollywood Rd.
