Nah, Iím sorry but this is getting ridiculous now. I donít doubt that he has been given a thin squad to deal with, however we should not be in a relegation fight.

His press conferences are beyond a joke! I saw this afterthe Luton game where he was just so delighted that we had scored 3 goals and it was exciting but mentioned nothing about the fact that we threw 3 points away and it was actually disappointing not to win. It worried me then and it worries me so much more now.

After getting dicked 4-0 by our biggest division rivals and then to come out and laud them up as this amazing team is simply pathetic. If we were playing XXXXXX Barcelona then fair enough. This Leeds teams are obviously better than us, but at the very least we should be making it difficult for them to beat us, and not rolling over like we did.

I feel like this situation is far far worse than the Strachan times to be honest. Under this manager we literally have no hope.

Personally I have no issue with him saying that, people do take these things very personally.

The lad left here as quick as he could when a very average Spurs came in for him 6 months after we bought him. He doesn't hate Geordies either (he loved his time playing for them), and he's not the 'club legend' some tried to paint him as when he was given the job. He's simply an ex-player of ours and current manager, and there's no one who wanted him in charge less than me at the time (and I think the end is nigh TBH).

But come on, he was just asked a question and he answered it. If it was Karanka talking about his reception from the Real Madrid fans no one would have batted an eyelid.

In reality, I donít care what he says really. I just care about results. He will never win with the fans because he has been set up to fail by the hierarchy. He will draw his salary until the emperor sees fit to seek a new playmate

He looks close to tears. Maybe it was tears due to the walloping his team had just received or he was emotional to be back at Elland Road and received the reception he was discussing.

I don't have an issue with him saying that he was happy to get a good reception, but to gush over them the way he did was poor really.

Its probably nothing more than naivety and emotion on his part but it doesn't help with how our fans will be feeling.

Apart from 45 minutes against Brentford and 35 minutes vs Hull there's been nothing else to shout about this season, so hearing your manager, a local lad who keeps telling everyone how proud he is to be Boro manager, carry on like that is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

I'm in a similar boat to Emerson and his comments above.
I generally don't overreact to these type of things, but this one particularly has got me.

I've been behind the manager since he got the job and think he's had some harsh criticism. This has really riled me though.

For the ones who don't see an issue with it as there are bigger problems we have to face, then yes, there are bigger problems. However, you just don't come out with those type of things about a club who your fans have a rivalry with. Never mind on the back of a lesson from them.

I can't believe what I witnessed really when I watched it. You have to worry that he thought it was acceptable to come out purring like that and stating that he wants them to get promoted.
Outrageous.

Agreed, I think it's totally different for most footballers and managers once they're in the game.
I used to play football with Woodgate as a teen (I wasn't as good as him surprisingly enough). I'd say he was more of a football fan rather than a big Boro fan. He watched our games, he used to watch Newcastle also under Keegan, and he took an interest in Leeds as you'd imagine once he was part of that set up.

ď If it was Karanka talking about his reception from the Real Madrid fans no one would have batted an eyelid.Ē

What has this got to do with anything?? Have we just been d!cked by Madrid? Are Madrid now an English club? Are they now the closest geographical club to us?
I know many lads who hate Leeds, even more so than Sunderland and Newcastle. People of a certain generation believe Boro is Yorkshire. To try and deflect Karanka and Madrid is up there with a Woodgate comment.

Maybe compare Albert applauding the Bristol fans, how did that go down? Maybe compare Higgy laughing with the Blackburn bench.

After a defeat, a battering by Leeds, he should have more sense. Maybe thereís space on the Boro Whites next coach for him.

It makes absolutely no difference what he said, he will still do his job at Boro to the best of his ability.
