Should Gibson be saying something?

Expressing he shares our concerns, backing the manager to get it right, still committed to taking the club forward - we are going to smash the league - anything at all to give fans some comfort of hope wood do

Gibson usually only speaks at the end of the season or after a manager has left.

I don't remember him saying anything publically about Karanka until after he was sacked, and it was the same with Pulis, Monk and Mowbray.

Everytime he opens his mouth at the moment, it comes back to haunt him.

My advice would be that actions speak louder than words. Woodgate is experiencing the problems he is because the owner has not been able to support him as he has some other managers. The owners new vision is not a problem, the way he has gone about achieving it is.

He has seriously underestimated the squad and its capabilities. Recruitment and sales have always been at the root of the problem and still is. No manger can make this squad into a team capable of challenging at the right end, however I believe Warnock or Adkins would keep us up

He'd be better off keeping his head down and letting Woodgate do his best until he can do something about it.

Why are people looking for words anyway, it's actions that are required, and his actions haven't been the best for quite a while now.

Should Gibson be saying something?
Just said in the Gazette, it's the new headline. 'Middlesbrough back Woodgate'.

Spineless gazette adding a load of baloney about the fans backing him!!!!

Should Gibson be saying something?
“He has three left-sided defenders unavailable – George Friend, Marvin Johnson and Hayden Coulson”

Anyone who thinks Marvin Johnson is actually a defender does not deserve to be considered a journalist imho

I agree CTC, Ive a feeling he wont sack him and let it run its course, unless Woody chucks it in. Hopefully we can find a few points before January and then shore things up.

Should Gibson be saying something?
Yes and he will soon when the season ticket renewal forms are being sent out.

He must be worried that it’s likely to be the lowest season ticket uptake of the Riverside era?

Gibson has nothing to gain by saying anything.
There have been some decent spells in most games and, if we bounce back well after Saturday, Woodgate will get more time.

Should Gibson be saying something?
Although I am a massive Gibson fan I think somebody needs to be held accountable for several very poor appointments.
He must be feeling ripped off himself hes given managers a lot of money and got nowhere.
