Apologies if this has been posted before. I had no idea about the Loftus Rd renaming, for which QPR should be commended

That is a fantastic gesture after a tragedy. I had no idea either about this and will immediately amend my match report.
They seem a really superb community club, so much going on there between the club and what is not the most affluent of communities.

When I was watching a stream their commentator kept referring to it as that. I hadn't realised what the story of it was. Brilliant from them.

I confess that cynically I just assumed this was another "Cellnet Riverside Stadium" renaming. What a wonderful gesture by QPR.

If you read that wiki link it was a fan vote from a short list - so even better really.

Kiyan was a lovely lad by all accounts and was helping another boy when he was stabbed.

Unbelievably sad. A great gesture by QPR to honour him and highlight the charity in his name.

Also the interview with Dave Thomas. Visually impaired the guy kept breaking down when being interviewed. Had his guide dog by his side. Ex player of ours - only a dozen or so appearances.

A player from the 70ís getting respect from the crowd. Lump in the throat job.

Nosmo - Dave Thomas spent a lot of his early years in Counden in Co. Durham. He had the nickname Tiser and was a mate of someone I knew. Good footballer, remember him playing thirteen games for us. UTB
