Once Upon A Time in Hollywood

Just seen the latest Tarantino movie. Whatís the thought from those who have seen it?

Personally I loved it. I know some have criticised itís lack of action and long drawn out scenes but the 60s cinematography was stunning. It had the feel of a Coen Bros film. And as for the last 20 mins 😱

And how good are De Caprio and Pitt

The first hour and a half was a non event. No story and just really poor as a film. Not even the acting could save it

That said the last half hour of the film is superb and somewhat saves it.

Overall poor though

Jackie Brown is his best film but this was up there.

Funny how this is polarising views. From start to finish it was stunning visually. Yes a couple of scenes were overlong but agree Zoo it did have a feel of Hail Caesar from the Coen Brothers.

Thought it was far too long, hated the Bruce Lee persona and didn't like the ending!

It was ok. It did have a hail Caesar feel to it. The ranch scene and then last 30 mins saved it for me.

Absolutely loved this movie, it was a homage to 1950's TV westerns as well as the Tarantinoesque love of dialogue between two close friends. His best work for years.

The way itís shot is quality, just movies are supposed to tell a story, and there wasnít a story being told really.

It was OK. If you're judging it against the first 3 pictures it doesn't get a look in. I gauge the quality of a film by whether I look at my watch in the pictures. I looked at it a fair bit during this.

One of his best.

Thought the two and half hours went by quickly. Loved the atmosphere of the film, the acting, the bizarre and the violence. Made me read up more about Charles Manson and his gang of ďAngelsĒ and the paranoia they created around the time in Los Angeles.

Fiction loosly based on real events, I enjoyed it but I felt there was a message there that I just didn't get?

Worth seeing for Di Caprrio alone though, he gets better with every film.
