This came from the Labour Party but hard to disagree with anything the members of the public say.

Or... people who support an ideology which destroys our area, makes it poorer with every decision and views us as 3rd class citizens, isn't welcome in Teesside.

View it how you like, it's a XXXXXX message board.

Who's Chris? You got the first letter of my name right..

However, in terms of the rest.. that's a disgusting thing to say which hasn't happened to myself and I've not lived with my dad since I was 16.. also could be libellous if you'd got my name correct... however if the person you apparently think I am did something like that then report them, otherwise you're hiding information regarding a paedophile, which is equally rancid.

Whilst that is an understandable reason not to vote Labour it is not a good reason to vote for a party that will not be representing your interests in the future. And when I say “you” I’m talking about your average working class Teessider.

I'll probably be voting conservative not because I'm a true blue but because the alternative is frightening as I still see it as a two horse race. I have still not abandoned the idea of not voting at all as I find most politicians rather unpleasant liars who only look after themselves and actually voting for the blood suckers makes them think they are popular when the reality is far from that.

Tories are often interested in their most fervent supporters

Houchen and Clarke were pictured grinning like loons with newly elected Cllr David Smith, who shared views on here about sterilising the benefit seekers and disabled, but I doubt they will be stood outside his court case supporting him however when he defends these allegations of child sex abuse.

'aesedasthrycome exactly how much impact do you think local politicians have? They are at Westminster Monday to Thursday not here in Cleveland. The Mayor gets more done'

Not true. My dad, who you know, got lots of help from Alex Cunningham when going through his cancer issues. Alex set him up all the help for adapting his house, for getting help with setting up his PIP and getting food vouchers that he needed at the time. He also took him to Roseworth community centre to help him with his local surgery.

Compare and contrast - My friends mother in Stockton South had cancer and asked her then local MP James Wharton for some help she's still awaiting a reply. Paul Williams took over that seat and has visited her several times and helped her tonnes.

I've also seen on Twitter about a journalist who was reached out to by a woman who was made homeless after getting away from her husband who'd abused her. The woman kept getting blocked on any help she needed and just didn't know where to turn. The journalist asked the local MP and she met the woman and took her into her house. She's been there 7 months now. This made the journalist say she'd abandoned her usual non-partisan local journalist views and was actively campaigning for Labour.

This is why I get annoyed when people say politicians are 'all liars' or 'in for themselves' because ultimately the good stories such as the above do not get mentioned. The tories want you to believe voting is pointless because nothing will change, all MP's are useless... why? Because that gets them back in power..

There isn't a single post in this thread about which policies are making people vote one way or the other. Just a general I hate Corbyn comment, with no reasons behind it.

Its staggering that in normal discourse, people can't seem to put forward a coherent and rational reason for voting one way or the other.

I'm reading and learning as much as I can to ensure I vote the right way, and threads like this are a waste of time.

So disappointing.
