I used to love this show when Ali presented it and those before,Ken Snowden etc.
Now drivel and constant Darcy doo comments about presenters young daughter and what she had for tea etc
Then an embarrassing Canidian/Teesside accent presenting crap music and poor guests.
Not long for this world this station I fear
An embarrassing version of what local radio once was.
BBC needs a shake up

The number 1 reason i stopped tuning it. The women on that show are terrible. The whole Darcy Doo thing led me to turn straight off. Its like listening to a group of Mams chatting at times.

I would listen to Ali every morning on the drive to work but now its Radio 4.

Serious shake up required and a whole new presenting team. The breakfast show is as stale as it gets [V]

The whole output of Tees is amateurish. Philipson is nauseating constantly smarming over all the other presenters, the sports coverage is dire. Interviews with Boro players are repeated throughout the week with anything they say, however trite, presented as pearls of wisdom. I used to enjoy listening to Paddy McDee when driving over the moors after a night match, now it's some strident, raucous Geordie. They should employ some proper professional presenters!

The Ďthrushí Boro/Boro/Boro is referring to is Gary Ďfillerí philipson - who seems to hog the air waves. A classical local jock circa 1980ís I thought were extinct! ďEee, itís great the north east, I love it!Ē He just manically fills every air minute with his stupid voice - going on and on and on about nothing in particular... and then he thinks heís funny as fck

BBC 6 has Mark Radcliffe on Brekkie duties this week and Lauren Laverne more usually.

Only station for me, admittedly it gets a little "off the wall" / "challenging" on occasion but you are never far from proper good music.

Well, well, well, I thought it was just me.

The standard of presenting is shocking but The Breakfast Show takes the biscuit.

Darcy Doo - absolutely cringeworthy, give me a break.

Neil Green ... oh dear!

Gary Phillipson - total embarrassment.

I could go on (like they do) but will save myself some time.

Only ever put Tees on for the travel alerts (try to time them to the minute to avoid the drivel).

No wonder the listening audience is 55-95!

Similar to Boro, it's time to give youth a chance ... Jennie and Adam for example. Otherwise I fear the end is nigh for BBC Tees.

good to read some appreciation for Fischer's work. I know I'm biased but I think his shows are gems.

Unlike the same old greatest hits shows the music played is a great mix of old, new, classics, lots of great local artists like George Boomsma and the superb Jay Moussa-Man

Last night he played an interesting new track by Chrissie Hynde and old classics by the Mills Brothers and Mott the Hoople and a great track by Teesside band Little Doves

The Guy loves and knows music and knows and loves the area and that makes for great local radio in my view

Also, ok its radio aimed at oldsters but Colin Bunyan on a Sunday Afternoon is old school radio of high quality and a lovely sunday afternoon feel to it. (even if he is a little over fixated on Kathy Kirby) -one for the youngsters there

She came to tees as a newsreader initially, her tfm days must of been before darcy doo

Mike parr musnt be well? He's been off air now for some time Antony was standing in for him, but they don't say that anymore

Greatest hits is a good station you can get it on the old magic frequency 1170mw?

Mark goodier on a morning Andy crane (who I find annoying on an afternoon) but the music is a good range from the 70s to the 90s and you don't hear the same old every day
