Italy - Eurozone Crisis Part 2

Not looking good for the 3rd largest economy in the Eurozone. If they crash it could be the end of the Euro and trigger a much wider recession across the whole of the EU, and wider.

The larger Euro Bank reserves, put in place after the Greece crisis, wouldn't cover an Italian crash and I can't imagine the German & French tax payers being happy to fund an Italian sized bail out. I doubt if they could even afford it.

No wonder Germany & France wanted to change the rules so that all EU members would have to help in future Eurozone bail outs.

30-40% youth unemployment in Greece, Italy & Spain. Looking good this Euro project isn't it. Well maybe for Germany.......... so far.

Italy - Eurozone Crisis Part 2

Italy is and always has been a basket case but their latest problems pre-date the current right wing government. Their debt as a % of GDP has been rising since the late 70's and is now 130% [:O]

The government are trying to do what Greece tried and spend their way out of the problem and avoid the drastic cuts that the Eurozone require which wouldl devastate the country and employment.

Im sure once the layoffs in the Automotive sector are realized then the euro zone will be hit by a full on recession. Layoffs are planned for the end of this year as well as 2020 hold on to your hats it could get (very) messy.

Although I have changed my mind and want to remain

And the EU continues to turn a blind eye as it continues on its relentless, and undemocratic, march to federalism.

Did many people who voted leave get the Schengen Agreement or the Euro mixed up with the EU?

From some conversations I have had it appears so.

Less of the [:o)] nob head [;)]

Yes The Express, but if you don't believe that then do you're own search on the proposed new "un-elected" federalist commission president. It will say pretty much the same.
