Euro2020 Tickets Advice

I have never applied for Euro or World Cup tickets before. Has anyone got advice on how to do this. I am on there website however as the qualifiers haven't even finished there is no way of telling what group England will be in. Is it just a case of blindly applying for various different tickets in different cities and hopefully you are successful on some of the England games. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

It is 100% that should England qualify they will play one of the group games at Wembley. Where the other is I don’t know but I presume there isn’t a follow myteam option?

The Euros spread from Baku to Copenhagen = bad idea. It’s a case of flying in and out of a city for one game with the likelihood of getting tickets for a tie not involving England that much smaller. Denmark and Hungary will qualify so tickets for Copenhagen and Budapest won’t be easy. Baku you would stand a better chance of getting tickets but who wants to go there for just one match? You’d probably get a terrible game as well.

You do know which group England are in. If they qualify they will play a minimum of 2 games at Wembley. Possibly a third game but that depends on if Scotland qualify. If Scotland don't qualify then all three group games are at Wembley. If Scotland qualify there will be a coin toss to see if Glasgow or London hosts that game between the two sides.

The draw for the finals has been designed so the hosts play in their own country if they qualify. So England are automatically in group D if they qualify.

It is totally different to any other competition - everyone is presently trying to get their heads around it.
England will play at Wembley as a host nation, if that helps.
If you look at the cities - they host games 4 days apart - you could get successful and land a game in Baku and it might be two countries you don't want to see and you have to wait best part of a week to see two games (you might not want to see) - don't apply to Baku.
Host nations play at home, I believe, if that helps.
Look carefully at the format - I think lots of people will probably go to one match and keep their fingers crossed it is a good one. It is surely going to be mostly German people going to Munich, English going to Wembley, Dutch to Amsterdam, Danish to Copenhagen etc.. Then there will be a late scramble where the grounds don't sell out. And when flights are suddenly more expensive.

If England qualify directly from their group, they'll be in Group D.

If you want to apply via UEFA you could choose random group D games and hope to get an England game.

From what I have read this morning England will play all their group games at Wembley. If we have to play Scotland, however, then a toss of a coin will decide if the match takes place at Wembley or Hampden Park.

I can remember Euro2004, we applied for tickets for 3 cities, without knowing the games beforehand.
The game we were meant to see in Porto was Latvia v Czech Rep, ......BUT we got to see Germany v Nederlands,[:D] - as this was classed as a category A++ for policing, so had to be moved to a bigger venue in a bigger city

Just been to Porto BigTl for the Championships - was great to be able to see 3 games in under a week with one base. Next year that is impossible with the format spreading games across Europe and spacing them out. It should give England a massive home advantage with those later games being played at Wembley. But won't make it easy for supporters to travel.

When I looked on the uefa website it seemed to me that all bar the quarter final will be in the UK. Or was it the second round. Something like that. I thing one of the games would be played in scotland

Maybe a daft question - I have chosen 4 different games all at Wembley. If I ‘win’ them all will I have to buy them all or can I choose on a separate basis?
Thanks

You'll have to cough up for them all mike, but you'll have no issue selling them on I'm sure.

If I get 4 lots of tickets in the ballot I'd be over the moon - as yes you'd easily shift them. This is going to be a Euros for the home supporter and not the traveller. Shame as bringing fans from all over Europe together is half the fun.

TBF Mike, your chances of getting all 4 are absolutely microscopic.

I am a member of the England supporters club. The more games that you attend, the more caps you get. This gives you priority for games at Wembley.

Thats a separate process though isn't it Hull? This is just the general UEFA ballot.

'I have chosen 4 different games all at Wembley.'

I went for 5 at Euro2004...got two group games, quarter final and final, only missed out on the semi I applied for.

The pricing will prohibit many from going to the Wembley games.
