Special guest is new Ticket Office Manager - the meeting had to be postponed from usual time last Monday as just about everyone was away from both the club and supporters sides.

An awful lot has happened in the last month - we cannot ask for the manager to be sacked. But we can talk about match ticket issues, pricing, things like that.
We can find out when the annual poll will be in which the Goal Music question will be raised. Then give everyone notice to sign up to the website and get organised and vote en masse against.

New ticket office manager ???

Has the old one left then ?

Seriously, why do we need one.....can't buy away tickets there anymore.

Ask how many season ticket renewals there has been......everyone who posts on here wants to know

Pride Cards - Will they be coming back out next year, might be worth it with the amount of people not renewing this year.

1. Deals in other stands for family tickets.
2. Reduced prices for the 16-21 age group.

Both proposals would increase the number of young supporters attending. They are the future of our club. I suspect loads stop going when they can bo longer get junior tickets because of the cost. Other clubs have reduced pfices for that age group. As a 'community' club why dont we?

I would also like there to be a new version of the "Pride Card" I don't even think it is necessary to offer a discount just that it is a better way of buying a ticket and entering the stadium than the print at home option. Perhaps a tenner for the card with £2 off per game for the first five tickets bought?

My brother in law took his 6 year old son on Saturday, I think it was the third game heís taken him to. It cost £19 for a 6 year old. Surely kids for a quid, or a fiver, has to be the way forward.

Uncle Rico - I wondered why your brother in law didn't go in Generation Red Family Zone.
Am not saying anything about ticket prices elsewhere but was wondering whether he knew about it, perhaps wanted to buy online or some other reason.
I always suspect people do not realise there are hundreds of tickets available match by match in GRFZ.
Also that doors open there from 12 noon and there are lots of free activities, entertaining and educational.
Is everyone aware of what goes on there? It is designed as a safe environment where you can take kids. All designed around them, from the food stands to the graffiti art and ganes machines.
Does everyone know all about it or should they publicise more? It is a really big capacity concession end, bigger than most other Championship grounds.

Hi Rob have to agree with you about the grfz my two kids love the guessing games but it is still expensive. There has been occasions in the past where the grfz has been sold out but there were plenty of seats in the North stand so why can't these be used as an option. Also needs to be a wider choice of kids food at sensible prices. Can the club introduce a family ticket in the grfz for instance 2 adults and 2 kids for a set price. I for one would go more often.

GRFZ is great when you can get tickets - last couple of times we have tried they have been sold out / limited availability. Sat a block away in the East Stand at greatly increased prices[sad][sad].

Why can't the adult/kids tickets be anywhere in the ground? Surely cant be that hard to organise? And kids tickets for a £5 would not be a bad idea?

It is a long, long time since GRFZ was sold out. I had an idea people think it is sold out.
The idea is for this to be a safe haven - a modern day Boys End where kids grow up and grow into the live Boro experience. Putting it in one area means activities can be focussed on the kids and they can manage the area to safeguard the kids. So, important. That is now I read it.
We might find out tonight what say the Ticket Office Manager has on ticket policy.

All well and good that stock answer Rob however kids like my teenagers don't want to be surrounded by primary school kids. The area may work well for younger children but for older kids like mine it doesn't.

Fans have repeatedly asked for better concessions for kids in other areas of the ground.

My point is not cheaper just non-discriminatory why should certain places have that pricing and others not. It's cost the club a season ticket from us. There's no good reason for it.

FFS, most kids would be happy going to match to worry about which seats they're in whilst many won't want to pay for a seat low down with the sun potentially in their eyes and are happy to pay about £600/season for it.

Do you want Premier League Football or Northern League?

Non discriminatory? Why should 21 year olds get a cheaper season ticket than 22? The minimum wage is the same 21-24 isnít it? Truly shocking. Are all concessions discriminatory by nature

Considering our approach to pricing Iíd just be happy that 18-21 tickets exist at all.

Iíd like my season card to be located in the hospitality suite, for the same price, but thatís not going to happen

With regards to food in GRFZ. Until this season there was a pasta bar as a healthy food option. Replaced this year with hot dogs and pizza. A real shame I think. What was the thinking behind that? Always seemed popular and often sold out.

The GRFZ is horrifically advertised on the website. I know we have spoken about this before Rob but if someone clicks on buy tickets on the website they would be easily forgiven for thinking the GRFZ was sold out. There are no links to how to buy tickets for it or anything.
Added to this is makes absolutely no sense that you can't buy tickets for that area online.

I know I agree GRFZ is terribly advertised and that is why again I posted asking people about that.
I don't think it would be a good idea to sell tickets for the family end online because they have to ensure they are safeguarding the youngsters in there. That is so important.

Hopefully get these out soon. But the meeting was mostly a chat with the ticket office manager who is a breath of fresh air. He shares so many of our concerns. If he can change the online ticketing and also the way they deal with the public it will make a positive difference.
It is probably too sensitive at the moment to publish his views on various things like 18-21 tickets but if he can provide the stats and figures then we might have a chance of seeing welcome change.
A lot in the balance at the moment on and off the pitch. I don't want to jeopardize anything at this stage.
I am still not sure when the Goal Music vote will be but I have asked for notice. We need to get everyone signed up digitally to overturn a huge majority. We will probably need everyone off fmttm to fill in a poll.
we can get everyone

Nah - just wait for someone to come along and make a wise crack instead.
Here is a list of several actions - Travel Club coach prices reassessed and reduced.
Taken vote in favour of safe standing.
Presentation made to all Teesside MPs who were converted to back safe standing - two of them have spoken about this in parliament.
Reported and corrected faulty steps in two corners of Riverside.
Lobbied successfully for the end of premium phone lines at Boro.
There are a few things off the top of my head.

A chat with the ticket office manager who doesn't want to go on record about fundamental ticketing issues?

£19 for a 6 year old is ridiculous.

That's a mighty understatement uncle. It's outrageous and absurd on so many levels. How on earth can the club justify a price for an infant schoolboy that is exactly the same for a 17 year old earning a living?

And this in a town that has some of the most deprived wards in the country and the idea that the family zone represents a decent concession is risible. £27 for an adult and £13 for an under 18 is totally inappropriate and disproportionate relative to the season card price.

I qualify (unfortunately) for the over 65 concession next season and I take my 6 year old grandson which indeed is excellent value as season card holders. £280 for me and grandson free, it's a no-brainer. The walk up prices for non season card holders however is unsustainable and unjustifiable in comparison to other Championship and a lot of Premier League clubs.

Football support is a luxury itís not an essential maybe making it too expensive for some the club are doing them a favour .
