He had a hernia op (stomach wall) the time off can depend on the size and type of hernia repaired - its not usually a long lay off nowadays.

Barca v PSG couple seasons back wasn't too bad neither.

Fulham v Juve.

Newcastle v arsenal.

Still have to say Boro v Steau was the best. I'm not being biased neither [;)]

To do it twice in the UEFA was incredible.

No matter what we ever do in the future it would have to be something very special to surpass those games. Best moment as a Boro fan in 50 seasons for me.

We scored at home v Basel 1st goal 33 mins
Last Goal 89 Mins

We scored against Steaua 1st goal 33 Mins
Last goal 90 Mins

In many ways they were both better than the Carling Cup win.

Whereas the Carling cup was a long drawn out torture after K Davies had scored.

The 2 comebacks were just pure joy.

As games they were Rocky, although the start of the Carling cup couldn't have been any better.

The last 10 mins was sheer torture, but it was our finest moment.

Yep there is Evil.

Norwich were getting koshed 4-1 at home to the mighty Boro at Carrow Road with 6 minutes to go a fews years back, final score 4.4. This was the game Slaven famously stormed off whilst doing his radio spot with Ali.

Best comeback I saw at the Riverside was Reading losing 3-1 and coming back to win 4-3 in injury time. But that was in the lower leagues. Anything can happen when you are a lower league club.

It has got to be up there with the best.
The big Aussie was missing and Southgate had to go off injured it looked all over. Still sends shivers when I think about it.
As for come backs
Man. City , when Keegan was in charge , turned a 3-0 defecit around at Spurs in the FA Cup to win 4-3. A certain Christian Zeige scored for Spurs and Joey Barton was sent off for City in the first half.

I think it was Ticker, season 2010/2011

Either Reading or QPR as they were in hoops.

The winner was an incredible solo effort.

I wish I could live in the moment more. I think the net was still rippling from Massimo's header and my mind had already turned to thoughts of what I needed to do for my kids and I to be at Eindhoven..
