Anybody into their vinyl still? Great job in promoting vinyl nationwide today with queues forming around the country at the independent shops still making a living with this great music form..

Fearnley's, Austin's and Playback - remember these Teesside record stores?

Went past the one in Stockton this morning on the way home from work (6.30am), and there were about 50-60 people queueing outside.....those near the front were sat on deckchairs !

And it was bl**dy freezing

Headed down to my local this morning. Two hours waiting in the freezing cold but worth it to get my hands on the final copy of blood on the tracks. Sounding good [^]

Probably buy 100+ records a year but just cant get behind RSD, it's like New Years Eve is for drinkers - all hype and full of people you don't see the rest of the year.

People part with $50 to get a copy of Bananarama's greatest hits because it's re-released on mauve vinyl, and then flog it hours later for $75 on Discogs.

*Miserable mode off *

Awesome that vinyl is making a come back. My contribution today was to buy Seasons End by Marillion......fantastic album made even better by vinyl.

Visited Black Slab in redcar this morning and they had music fans queuing from 07.00 hrs ready for opening at 08.00 today.
Doing a brisk trade when I got there.
Bought a Trojan ,blood - red, white tipped polo shirt for £35[^]

Vinyl is getting more popular but I think comeback is too strong a word

Streaming dominates the market with 90m units in 2018

CDs 30million units, downloads 10 million units. Vinyl levelled out at 4.2m units and has been fairly flat for a bit now - more popular than it was but itís really small part of the market
