Why not start the 2nd half the same way we started the 1st?

I thought we did well 1st half. We pressed them well in their own half, forcing them into mistakes, and we did a good job at keeping the ball alive.

2nd half we reverted to type, standing off them and the in the end, the inevitable happened.

Our response to going a goal down was poor really. We never managed to get a grip on the game and put Norwich under any concerted pressure. I'm sick of players not attempting to control the ball. Ayala was the biggest culprit today. Several times he had a chance to bring the ball down with his chest and just headed it straight back to a Norwich player.

Totally agree and said as much on another thread.

I canít imagine Pulis is a good motivator so sends them back out for the second half hoping for the best.

Because their manager changes things after seeing the problems.
A luxury we don't have.
That said I don't think we deserved to come away with nothing.

A change could have been made just before they scored. We'd fallen back into the trap of finding ourselves pegged back in our own half, with no outlet. This is where we need a player like VLP or Tav on the pitch to give us that outlet and carry the ball forward.

We had at least three chances to clear that before they scored today, if they are being told to be defensively sound they certainly aren't listening!

Daniel Farke said something along the lines of he wasn't happy that his players weren't taking any risks to trouble us in the first half. It's something I've been critical about for the past few years. Apart from Gaston, Tomlin, Bamford, Albert, Stuani and Traore we've had so few players willing to gamble regularly. Most importantly, it's in the centre of the pitch that we've been lacking this quality the most. I don't think we have the slightest notion of how to spot a midfielder who can control a game.
