I don't think ours are too bad, and know that the small increase for next season will put people off, but these are good from Forest...

I think the youth price all round the ground is a good idea.

This looks a better pricing strategy to me.
Highest price for a central SC in best seat is £499, £82 cheaper than ours - or even to sit in the wing of the West upper.

The kid, child, youth and 2 senior categories are cleverly segmented to encourage groups of people to come together and stay together.

There are 7 of us who go and have had season cards for between 16 and 50 years.
It will cost us £3,288 to renew our tickets for people aged 82,77,57,50,24,22 and 13.
At Forest, for the same seats we would pay £2,676.
Every ticket is considerably cheaper.

We will pay 23% more than a group at Forest.

No worries says Steve, their crowd is only 22% bigger than ours so we make more money.
Not so for next season, as there will be at least 2 of our group who will not be renewing next season.
The 2 old boys are just fed up and the 2 younger blokes question the value they get versus other calls on their modest income.

Forest's strategy will drive bigger gates, better atmosphere and get higher ticket revenue than us.

Given that Bausor is a Forest fan, it's ironic that his club have a better pricing strategy than ours.

I thought Neil Bausor was a Sheffield United fan. I could be wrong.
There is some significant news from Boro in that we have a new ticket office manager. He is guest at our fans forum next month it sounds as if he is bringing significant experience and a lot of ideas to the job. We will learn more next month.

you could ask him why i cant buy a kids ticket online for the family zone, and yet can buy a kids ticket in more expensive areas online?

You cannot buy a kid's ticket online for the GRFZ quite simply because they have to ensure that it is a child accompanied by a grown up. Important safeguarding.

How does that differ to other areas of the ground? Just wondering, not meaning to pick holes.

You could go along and ask him yourself and/or contact the ticket office?

Rob could you please ask him if we are going to address the issue with the walk up prices. They are absolutely ridiculously priced, especially given the fact we are in such a deprived area of the country. We need to adopt a pricing structure that is fair for younger fans like 99% of other teams do.

£17 for 'under 18' isn't acceptable, I think all Boro fans agree with that. Other clubs seem to break it down fairly... under 12s price/12-18/18-21 etc etc.

Will the "Ticket Office Manager" have any say on pricing?

Without the drinks off Forest is definitely cheaper £412 to £345 - even with drinks £67 is higher unless you always get a pint.

Possibly you could argue the facilities are better at the Riverside and we do deep discounts for cup games.

Doubt a ticket office manager would set pricing. That will be a commercial decision

poor from the club not having 18-21 or18-25 price as a lot of peolpe are on the minium wage which at 24/25to 18 is a lot lower to the 25+minium wage.other clubs do it why not the boro.

Sorry Rob but thatís utter nonsense regarding the family zone.
Itís to squeeze booking fees out of people or to make people take kids in the more expensive areas.

No it isnt. They want the family zone to be a family zone. They need to see IDs. They need to see that kids are accompanied by adults.

Funny how other clubs run family zones where tickets can be bought online.
So its to stop kids going in the family zone on their own?
That means unaccompanied kids then go in other unsupervised areas how is that 'safeguarding' them?

Think forest have it about right re youngsters and pricing structure still discounted till 25.

Boro should really look at pricing for families, they also should manage the credit payments themselves and not farm it out.

say 10K people pay on terms thats £300K out in fees that could be in the clubs pocket

Interesting looking at Forrest pricing. £345 for Trent end adult yet my renewal in North is £420
I would rather have a lower price than a free drink.
Many ST holders will not renew for various reasons but will attend the games they can and will be reliant on reasonable walk up prices. This should be the focus of Rob to represent the fans and secure sensible affordable walk up prices.

Sunderlands' are even better, especially when you consider we could be in the same division next season.

Kind of hammers home why they've managed to get people through the turnstiles though.

Good to see Forest have an 18-23 ticket for all round the stadium. You did say Rob that you had raised with the club something similar but as expected this was ignored, my 18 year old sons season ticket has just gone up from £125 to £420.

Forest sold 6000 new cards and 1000 renewed in the first hour yesterday.
Nottingham Post reports they are capping their season cards at 20000 this year pending redevelopment of their ground.

Are we missing out somewhere?

Sunderland would cost £2,205 for our 7 tickets as above. We pay 49% more.

Obviously other groups will have different numbers, but being 23% higher than Forest or 49% higher than Sunderland feels wrong on a lot of levels.

It is obviously not Gibson being greedy, as he doesn't make any money.
It is Middlesbrough FC getting things wrong.

Its not hard is it 13000 empty seats so lets have a look at our pricing policy. But no its the same every season. The adult prices i would say are fair enough its the other prices that get me. £420 for an 18 year old in the North stand is mad and we wont be paying it.
