Its not announced officially but I can tell you it is 100% certain.
Also on Sunday - Chemical Brothers and Rex Orange County
There is a link to the potential source if you do your research on that lot.

Love(d) The Cure, and The Chemical Brothers... but I think I'd want more than that if I was forking out for Glastonbury.

Just a thought.

Its my first visit for 35 years
I think itís changed a bit.
Regular goers tell me there is just so much going on the headliners are almost incidental

Saw them do the Saturday headliner in 1990. It was brilliant.

£200++ to get in, before camping, food, booze etc.

Not cheap, IMO.

About £50 a day which is a huge bargain.

"About £50 a day which is a huge bargain".

To be fair, I hadn't really thought of it like that. You have a point.

However, camping, food, booze for the four days... It's shedloads.

I stand by what I said before, I think I'd want more than The Cure and The Chemical Brothers headlining on Sunday?

Fortunate enough to get corporates but doing fancy camping which is just obscene
You only live once and all that

There will be more acts than just The Cure and The Chemical Brothers Betamax. Itís a huge festival with loads of music and other entertainment.

The camping in included in the ticket price.

You can take your own booze and food unlike other festivals where you have to pay extortionate bar/food prices once you are in the entertainment areas. At Glastonbury you donít have to pay their prices.

There are loads Iíll be swerving
But - Kamassi; Loyle Carnerí John Hopkin; the Idles; This is The Kit; The Streets etc [^]

Crazy L - good point. They arenít corporates. They are Ďguest passesí.
The Eavis family are quite precious about that.

Glastonbury had sold it soul by 1989/1990...

after that it was and is all about the money, corporate lounges and selling product.

out go Pam, John and Sue, in come Cassandra, Rupert and Mercedes with their private toilets, heated wig-wams and food deliveries from the Gloucestershire deli's - YAH ! Ö [B)]

as we are seeing with football, it was ever thus.

What Ďcorporate loungesí are these then?
And what Ďproductí do they sell that you think is such a problem?
I know they sell lots of product for water aid, greenpeace and oxfam....

I believe that was a one off. Mind it could be time for the once and future king to ride to our rescue...

I have to say that it is a rather underwhelming list as it stands. Thing is that the festival is so HUGE, unless you have been in the last ten years or so it has changed so much that it is almost impossible to appreciate much choice there is on site. Just looking at the Main Stages that can host acts that would be major draws at other festivals you have

Pyramid
Other
John Peel
West Holts
Park
Avalon
Acoustic

They say there are over 100 stages (some will only hold a few dozen punters, some like (a personal favourite) the "Crow's Nest" hold may be a hundred or so.

I'm still hoping to get lucky in the resale so please anyone who has a ticket and is undecided whether to go or not...

...don't, put that ticket back into the pot!

Please [:D]

Well called 1finny!! [^]

I've never actually been even though I've said I was going to enter the ballot, every year since I was about 20. I'm now approaching mid 30's

Though I do tend to make a weekend of it with some mates, move the TV outside and have a few beers in the garden weather permitting.

You can make the experience more "authentic" by p!ssing in the corner of your garden, trampling the lawn into a muddy pulp and periodically turning on a lawn sprinkler. (Oh and for extra points put up a tent and then leave it there full of empty cans and food wrappers - perhaps some "well worn" discarded undercrackers - for someone else to tidy up.)

They canít announce some of the others at this stage cos they have major events on in UK and they donít want to jeopardise ticket sales
