Sickening defeat last night

Nothing I hate more than losing a game where we were so superior to the opposition on the night. I'm told these things even themselves out, so to cheer me up, can anyone remind me of Boro games where we've been tortured all game but somehow come away with the 3 points?

I'll start with Port Vale (a) in 1998. Merson scored in the first few minutes and it then seemed like we were battered for 90 mins with Schwarzer pulling off save after save as we hung on for the points. Capped off by him miming smoking a cigar after one particular miraclulous save in the second half. [8D]

Brentford away January 2015 under Karanka. First half penalty sealed a 1-0 win for the Boro. We were outplayed for the full 90 minutes.

I distinctly remember us not playing well at home to Bradford also in 1998 and sneaking a 1-0 win that we didn't deserve.

Also there's Aston Villa at home in 2004 where we sat back but hit them brilliantly on the break 3 times and won 3-0. Had they finished better we would have lost!

This season, probably West Brom at home when we won with Ayala's shot after he handled the ball. But last night we totally dominated Prestin.
Gutted!

Norwich away in the play off season. Albert got an early goal and I'm pretty sure we were clinging on there.

Huddersfield away under Karanka. They battered us and we came away with a 2-0

We really didn't dominate Preston at all last night.

I seem to recall us dominating that game. 1-0 was the least we deserved, handball though it was.

I seem to recall winning 1-0 att Man City without having any shots on target all match.
