Sunday night. Worth recording if too late.It is a bit of an under rated gem.

Halle Berry, Giovanni Ribisi and Bruce Willis star in this sordid tale of murder, deception and corporate skulduggery.

Berry and Ribisi play streetwise albeit thoroughly unlikable undercover journo's who expose Senators who are having homosexual affairs or digging any sleazy dirt that newspapers may want. Berry's character achieves this by assuming fictional on line identities through adult chat sites. Ribisi is the geek who assists her with his hacking skills.

Having bumped into an old friend Berry's character learns that she was having an affair with married advertising magnate Harrison Hill (a very smarmy Bruce Willis) Hills womanising is a long standing rumour in town but noone had any solid dirt so the pair decide to take him down. Next we learn the friend (Nicki Aycox) is found dead under suspicious circumstances so Berry and Ribisi decide to investigate.

Berry assumes different identities on line to try and snare Hill and even gets a job as a temp in his company. This allows her unprecedented access to snooping around and taking audacious risks.

Its a clever movie and Halle Berry provides plenty of eye candy. It will keep you guessing, right up to the surprising conclusion which you wont see coming.

I've always liked Berry, ever since she burst on the scene in 'Boomerang' she took plenty of big screen roles such as the X men movies and even being a Bond girl Jinx once she found fame. She received a Golden Rasberry (worst actress) for Catwoman!! so it hasnt always gone well. Whilst her career defining moment will always be 'Monsters Ball' she was also outstanding in 'Things we Lost in the Fire'. She is brilliant in 'Perfect Stranger'. She manipulates every bloke in the film.

I have to agree in this case. That is a terrible film EP and bringing up Halle Berry's ethnicity apropros of nothing at all at the end of your summary there is a bit weird, don't you think? I know that most on here think that you're just a troll but I thought that you were better then that. You've disappointed me here.

I am you though remember EP? Someone suggested it on here on a previous thread so it has to be true, doesn't it? There's no room on FMTTM for two people who both enjoy overseas movies. The only possible explanation is that you and I are the same person and that means that my previous post was just you, yourself berating yourself for liking crap movies. Maybe it was just a cry for help from you/ us? That would maybe make sense.

I'd recommend the Korean adaptation of that Murakami short story 'The Burning' if I haven't already done so to you. Also thought that Yorgos Lanthimos's latest was great too. A little unsettling to witness Olivia Coleman and Emma Stone spouting such filth in a period drama but it's a XXXXXX good film anyway. But you know that already of course. Because I'm you.

It would be lovely if that actually made sense Ticker_Tape. It would be really interesting if you actually said something that wasn't just a load of old horseXXXXXX. I won't hold my breath though.

Why don't you try asking Rob if EP and me share the same IP address? If you're that obsessed. Rob will confirm that I've been registered for ages here with this user name but rarely post, mainly because the internet is full of dickheads like you.

What are we fighting about, again? My previous experience of internet spats like this one have actually been about something. We're just calling each other XXXXXXs here aren't we and I'm not entirely sure why. You're still invited to my birthday party though. That's how nice I am if you just take the time to get to know me.

Nearer the time? How do you know when my birthday is? I'm getting a bit paranoid now. You came across as a bit rapey and stalker like on a previous thread but I just let it go at the time. You're worrying me now though. You're still welcome at the party but maybe bring your carer along too, right? Just in case you get a bit. . . you know. . . .

Nobody wants to hear about you gripping your stuff in front of the TV watching Halle Berry EP. I think that's what Americans call 'over-sharing'and it seems rather out of place on here. It is a XXXXXX film though. Nice of you to not bother thanking me for those recommendations I gave you. Cheers for that.

I saw the 'Bacchus Lady' online following your recommendation and I thought it was very good (only in Korea), yep same actress as the nosey head of house in the 'Housemaid' I will watch 'The Burning' when i get a chance.

Plenty of eye candy in Asian cinema Bum,

Halle Berry would have been 41 when Perfect Stranger was made, she is a proper women!!

Glad that you enjoyed 'The Bacchus Lady' Ep. I still think that it was missing a last act and feels unfinished though, like I said to you before. Ignore T_T. I have no idea why he's stalking me. Guess I'll find out at that birthday party if he turns up. He'd better bring a sodding good present. At this rate though he'll probably be entirely incapable of speech by then. His words are clearly deserting him rapidly. Nothing but emojis until he shuffles off this mortal coil. It's sad to witness but nature can be cruel like that at times

Just to correct a few bits about that last post of mine to you. That Korean film is just called 'Burning' rather than 'The Burning' and it's more 'based around' that Murakami story than a straight adaptation. I was only winding you up about not thanking me for those recommendations though, as I'm sure you're probably already aware. Don't forget to watch 'Shoplifters' if you get the chance and haven't seen it already. It really is a great, if rather upsetting movie.

Burning and Shoplifters are on my 'movies to see'

Cannot work Ticker Tape out Bum. Same as Nosmo.

Deprived people with little hope of advancing themselves, menial jobs at best, not moved on since sticking posters on their bedroom walls, and obviously educated to the bare minimum.

Give him a break EP. I'll admit that I don't really understand emojis but it looks like his head was possibly on fire and he was crying for help in those recent posts and maybe one of us ought to have called the authorities just in case? I have no idea who 'Nosmo' is and don't want to get involved in other people's spats or any spats at all on here to be honest.

'T_T' has decided to follow me around since I started posting and to take the proverbial whenever he sees the chance. God know's why. I'm done with that now though, so good luck to him in future.

(Eagerly sits and awaits that random single smiley face response that makes him somehow feel like he's somehow won. . . something. . . ?)
