He would have been the player to bring on when Wing was injured.

Bringing on Besic and Clayton cost Boro the win in the end.

Boro_legend I would appreciate if you don't comment on anything I post you troll, many thanks [^]

As far as Tav goes I would love to see him in the team, having him and wing in the squad actually gives us a chance at home

Would've been a perfect option to bring on for Wing.

Ridiculous.

Agreed borocelt, even downing perhaps, bringing on Clayton and besic wasn't exactly a masterstroke your asking for trouble

I'm amazed BL replies to anything football related, and amazed the PULIS OUT comment hasn't appeared by him tonight?

But there's the Sheffield Utd game to come so don't hold your breath he's that little hobbit waiting under his rock.

Tavernier doesn't like to do the dirty work and track back when needed.

When he came on against Newport this was evident and for me he was at fault with their equaliser. Tavernier was ambling back at the time and the ball drops into an area he should be covering and allows the lad time to put his ball in without any pressure.

I said this at the time and yesterday in the pub we chatted about Tav. One of the guys with us had listened to the game on the radio and when the pitch side summariser was on he said the microphone was picking up on Pulis shouting for him to track back back.

Got high hopes for Tav but he's not been great last couple of appearances.
I realize some need to blame Pulis for whatever - even the weather.

He had one bad game in the cup vs Peterborough and he hasnít had a sniff since.

Not impressed how TP is handling one of our young talents by freezing him out of the squad. We will regret it when he takes his skills elsewhere.

"Tavernier doesn't like to do the dirty work and track back when needed"

He shouldn't need to with us playing 5 defenders and 4 central midfielders so regularly.

One of the biggest problems with this club in recent times is that is coaches all the attacking and creative intent out of players.

No wonder we struggle for goals.

Borfur/Foomanboro - So both of you would be happy for a full back to push on and the wide midfield player not tracking him back!

If it had of been Downing he would have got a shed load of stick.

I remember Adomah doing something similar under AK and we didn't see him for weeks. Wide men need to work going both ways or they are letting their team mates down.

"I remember Adomah doing something similar under AK"

You're probably referring to the last minute equalizer conceded away to Derby.

The one where neither of our forward players attempted to put pressure on Derby's centre half before he launched the ball into the box. The centre halfs then failed to win the ball in the air, our right back was caught napping and Dimi let a soft one by him at the near post.

But AK decided to blame Adomah for that one. Managers eh [:D]

His goals per mins on the pitch is superb. So for a team that cannot create and lacks pace it's baffling.

We keep hearing pulis go on about pace and power yet he doesn't pick anyone who cannot defend. I am sure that's we have not seen any of RVLP.

How long did it take him to pick Wing? We wasted months of him coming off the bench yet everytime he did he changed the game or made us better

Tav should be playing. We shouldn't be playing a team full of centre backs and centre midfielders. This Manager makes it hard work for the players on the pitch.

"He's not good enough, simple as that."

He's our top goal scorer (minutes per goal) this season and was very close to top last season. He's only not good enough if scoring goals is not required.

I'd like to see Tav used at the tip of a diamond formation, behind 2 strikers.

He's full of energy and makes good runs. He'd be a good link up player between midfield and attack. He always looks to get in the box and score goals. He'd be very good on the counter.
