No they should be forcibly disbanded, disqualified from every forming another club and the city should be carpet bombed and wiped off the map just for good measure. That should just about do it [:P][;)]

Note: I don't like Leeds, the club or the place. Neither have any redeeming features whatsoever

Can we leave the carpet bombing until after August please? I've just paid for our Hotel for the Ashes Test. Even late August would do.

No - no time like the present. Headingley and the ashes test will be unavoidable collateral damage I'm afraid. They can always move it to Durham [;)]

Bielsa has just admitted to sending the member of staff to spy, that's surely got to require some sort of sanctioning against him and/or Leeds?

On a related note, do we make it easy for other clubs to spy on us. I have never been so don't know the layout up at Rockcliffe, but wouldn't another club just need to book someone into the hotel for a couple of days to be able to spy on our preparations

That interview was mad - Bielsa casually admitting to spying 😳 And saying he’s done it in the World Cup. Absolutely mental. TIP: Maybe concentrate on learning English rather than sending spies to other clubs.

Frank Lampard says it’s the SECOND time Leeds have spied on Derby this season while ex-Derby striker Darren Bent says if Bielsa wasn’t doing so well then he could lose his job over the row.

I feel Derby should be awarded the win due to the unfair advantage then, also a points deduction for Leeds as if this happened to Boro we would of been severely punished!

Lampard was right in that Leeds have gained an unfair advantage by seeing their tactics and available players.

It’s irrelevant whether Biesla has been doing it for years, it’s not sportsmanlike.

I doubt they have broken any laws of the game, but I’m sure something will soon be introduced. No doubt they’ll get a paltry £5000 fine or something,

As said above, his blatant admission of doing it for years means he's almost certainly done it in other matches this season too.
If there's no rulings against spying on opposition preparations before a match, there should be.

It's cheating, even if it isn't illegal.

Is it not illegal to trespass? Furthermore should there not be consequences for a company (openly admitted to be senior management) to ask an employee to commit an illegal act against a rival company to attempt to enhance the value of its own company?

As usual, we appear to have come across an issue where I'm so far out of step with the majority view it's ridiculous.

It's not even a case of "it's going on everywhere", more "why does anyone think it's a problem?". There are people - not just nutters on here, actual people in football - talking about points deductions and managers losing their job for a bloke watching a training session, as if it were the final dress rehearsal for the D-day landings.

I suppose it comes from the same place as them all talking behind their hand - namely, that football as a sport takes itself way too seriously, to the point where the people involved really do think that it's actually a serious security issue if somebody knows on a Thursday that Martin Waghorn is on the bench and Richard Keogh is a carthorse.

I don't have an issue with the spying, it will go on at nearly every club to an extent where training is allowed to be viewed, or can be viewed, what are they going to see anyway that will make much of a difference on the day anyway?

The annoying thing about this incident though is how it affected Derby's preparation for the game and Lampard said as much yesterday, their training session was interrupted while the Police dealt with the matter and definitely affected their build up so that in itself isn't on.

The Damned United have reminded Bielsa of their lack of integrity and cheating ways.

Bielsa also admitted it has gone on in the World Cup. You don't say ? Where was that chap from who used the hand of god again ?[8)]
