If we have another general election

The choice will be:

Theresa May - Historically pro EU but now in favour of Brexit to further her career and now peddling a bad Brexit deal.

Corbyn - Anti EU and promising a better Brexit deal even though that is pure fantasy

Will there also be leadership challenges within both parties for the potential of a pro EU remain option?

Option B, they realised they've screwed up, and are trying to do something about it?

Personally, I think politicians of all parties would be better served in admitting when they got something wrong, and tried to fix it. So often they just ignore the 'evidence' and feel they have to plough on regardless.

Cunningly she didn't. She said she would not lead them into the 2022 election. Hopefully she is such a stubborn lying cow that she will stick with it on the basis this is not 2022 and at least then the electorate will have the chance to see who has brought the country to this place.

It will be like voting for Ted Heath again after the 3 day week ( for the oldies)

Theresa May will not lead the Tories into a General Election. The higher ups in the party will have her removed before campaigning begins.

Having said that I don't think the Tories are stupid enough to go into a GE with 3.5 years of a Government still to come, even if they are holding a 5 points lead.

As for looking at a Manifesto, these promises mean nothing now. Vows to implement such things are ignored. This applies to T May's lot and Blair's crew.

It's a real dilemma this!

Traditionally, I have always voted Labour but The Labour party now looks as though the majority of members are remain.

I support Corbyn's policies on re - nationalisation of railways and defence of NHS, students etc , but I wish he would defend his personal stance on the EU.

Tactically, if there is a GE - I will vote for whoever defends democracy and delivers on BREXIT (Though, ultimately, I don't believe any of them will)

FEW read the manifesto.. most will listen to the headlines & a few news bulletins..

Though & most probably will just vote how they always have - with sheep like repetition..

May would not be the leader if an election is called.. they'd go for someone else..

Corbyn - within London & the Labour Party Membership.. he's the Golden Granddad.. to the regions & legions of Labour voting sheep.. I wonder if he's seen as terrorist sympathiser, poodle of dictators & despots, hypocrite & most of all a complete liability & unfit for office..

just my take anyway..

Too many simply look at the leader and little else, it's why the gutter rags concentrate on pushing the personal traits of the Labour leader (whoever that leader is) to the top of the agenda, whether they're real or not.

That soaks up a lot of votes in Idiot Britain and ensures that the party with the poorest record in the UK is elected more often than any other.

The Tories want Brexit out of the way so they can spend until 2022 rebuilding their reputation and hope people soften or forget the mess they've made. Most people will forget once they hear them touting tax cuts...I wont though....ever. They are inherently evil.

Think things through

A general election will not affect Brexit.

When an election is called there is a minimum period of 6 weeks allocated to the campaign. Thats UK law.

So while our parties are touring the marginal seats trying to secure election March 29th will come and go and we will be out of Europe as it is now written into UK and EU law that Britain leaves that date.

UKIUP May have gotten that many votes overall, but with no actual winning candidates, how do you take a seat off someone who was preferred?

Corbyn is probably mistaken if the thinks he can stroll into No10. He is offering nothing different to the Conservative party on the most critical issue facing the country.
Add to that so many of his personal beliefs put him at serious odds with his own party, let alone the electorate. On top of that he has some thoroughly unpalatable cohorts like Abbot.
Not trustworthy, nor are the tories.
No party worth voting for IMO. They are all self serving career politicians, totally out of touch with the majority of the electorate.

Labour have been 'AWFUL' Doriva ha ha

I like Jezza but;

1)Refused to denounce Russia after Salisbury when the rest of the world were supporting Theresa May and expelling all their diplomats (even the French were)

2)The antisemitism issue follows him round like a bad smell.

3)'Stupid woman' what is the point, repeat what is the point, of muttering this during a bad day in the office at PMQT and then denying it afterward. Jezza is the leader of the opposition, a party with an outside chance of winning. Dennis Skinner can get away with it but not the leader.

4)Labour haven't exactly covered themselves in glory with brexit. Labour MPs are all staunch remainers.

I was with a Labour councillor recently, outstanding lady who gives up her own time. All the usual 'Universal Credits are terrible' rhetoric and 'Tory this and Tory that' but can they do it?

Labour need to go back to 1997 and see how they achieved such a landslide, Fettes educated PM, Cabinet full of public schoolboys and Oxford/Cambridge boyos, and by keeping true lefties like Two Jags well away from the mic.
