He's been on QT a few times recently and just seems the scream really fast and loudly about what a mess May/Tories are making of Brexit and offers little else.

I would prefer fewer MPs/politicians on this show, but not for dimwit comedians who think it's Live at the Apollo.

I enjoy parts of the Daily Mash and find some of his stuff funny.
Just this morning asked my missus if she wanted to go and see him live - she said ‘no he’s a bit shouty’

I don’t think the stuff he does on mainstream telly is that good but his live stand up is very good.

However I think the same can be said for many comedians, who’s material gets watered down for the sensitive masses.

If you're referring to QT it was a case of 'anyone but a white man'.

It is the BBC[|)]

yeah that will be it, after all the comedians they have on are never white, surprised your not letting any steam off over the woman chair person.

Yeah, white men are particularly under represented in this country. [rle]

Fk me.

He’s funny on occasion. I find the mash tv stuff a bit too staged.

Was on the same series of Taskmaster as Bob Mortimer. Really liked that. Some of the Daily Mash stuff is good too (though I only ever clips on FB which may be the best bits).

Can't disagree with what he was saying last night about the state of Brexit and how little we still know, though.

There was no white man. Do you think that was coincidence? The BBC is quite open with it's quota policy.

Personally I don't think any demographic should be discriminated against.

It's basic Identity Politics stuff, I knew you lot would be triggered[:D]

He is very funny on an episode of Quickly Kevin Will He Score, on which he reviews Premier Passions, the proper Sunderland documentary from the 1996/97 season.

He tells a quite brilliant anecdote about Toploader and Dion Dublin performing at a small festival he was playing at, too.

Not watched much of the Mash Report, but he also wrote an essay for The Good Immigrant - 'Is Nish Kumar a Confused Muslim' - which was v. funny.

Colin certainly has a chip on his shoulders about an apparent “lack” of white representation on TV. I wonder why?

It’s ok dear. The scary brown man on TV won’t hurt you.

Yeah, there's never any white men on Question Time is there, manaboutadog?

I'm not one for quotas myself.

In fact I don't think you should ever discriminate on grounds of race or sex.

I'm sure you won't have to wait long for another white man on Question Time.

3 white men on the Andrew Neil show afterwards.

Yeah I hate it when I see someone write “your” instead of “you’re”, so only right I edit it.

I guess that makes me a grammar Nazi as opposed to a full blown Nazi like someone on this thread.

He's not very funny but I've never seen his standup. Maybe it is because he's on BBC where it is no longer allowed to say anything controversial anymore without having to "face a backlash". Good comedy pushes boundaries. Showing a clip of Donald Trump and saying "can you believe he said that" isn't edgy or clever.

I did hear him on the Quickly Kevin episode and he was funny on that but I wasn't sure if it was just the content was funny. E.g. I don't particularly like Josh Widdicombe but the whole Quickly Kevin series is really funny.
