Awful, the poor parents, when they walked in to the room the sight must have been horrific

Not getting this.
So Karen Baker, the friend of the son's parents didn't want them to see the "tribute"
So why has she gone public with this and allowed the photos of the effigy to be shown on BBC??

Bob up-and-down, yes, do why go to the BBC knowing that the photos would be seen by the parents?

I had a giggle at the "clutching a can of lager in his hand".

I wonder how the original request was received, did the staff actually realise he was dead or were they under the misunderstanding that it was their sons birthday and they missed him.

Also wondered why she thought to photo it before she hurriedly hid it.

5* hotels in Jamaica wonít be cheap, whilst this was a mare situation, if it happened to me Iíd absolutely photograph it for a refund later on, itís potentially thousands paid.

Could have been lost in translation and the staff thought he just couldnít come with them so they Tried to make it look like he had, or something similar; who knows - the cleaning staff are very poorly paid and rely on tips from guests hence on last day you often get little displays and petals laid on bed etc. They were probably just trying to do something good and itís gone sour, and doubt theyíre in the job now.

Releasing the photo might have been the only way to get the refund, inimagine itís traumatic at the time going into the room, probably less so on the bbc news website

Oh yeah, let's just release it to the BBC and scare the parents.

Let's not kid ourselves. This was about compensation. Nothing else.
