Did anyone get baseball tickets then?

I ended up, as usual, with a price band one higher than I'd have been happiest with, because I was buying a lot of tickets and Ticketmaster is horrible at having to bounce backwards and forwards to suss out blocks and prices etc.

That said, I don't think £65 is horrendous for Yankees v Red Sox, which will probably be once in a lifetime in the UK.

Are we talking past or future? If it's the latter, then that's entirely possible. Which carries the up side of not compromising on how much live sport one goes to watch. [^]

Pheragan is cheaper.

Went to a bluejays game in tne summer, never again. But saying that I only lasted until half time in a Raptors game.

There seems to be a big difference in MLB ticket prices generally depending on who you're watching and where.

I paid about £65 for a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field in the summer but could have watched the Milwaukie Brewers the day before for less than £10.

Depends where you choose to sit. Lower tier behind the batter a lot more expensive than in tne gods in wide field.

I don't know what it us about this complicated rounders but I have loved every game I have been to. I am even starting to understand the nuances, but will there had the 7th innings song?

True but the Cubs and Brewers tickets were in virtually the same position. Likewise, I could have paid less to sit low down behind the plate at the White Sox than I paid for a right field seat for the Cubs. There's definitely a substantial premium to watch certain teams (Cubs, Red Sox, Yankees).

I have to say that it's not the best spectator sport but it's a great event. Having a season ticket for a 162 game season would be pushing it.

Tsab,

Each to their own. I gave it a go, kept me off the beer for awhile. Wouldn’t pay their prices.

Crazy thing was the start time 15:07. Clear who the sport is run for the benefit of.

$12 a can at Yankee Stadium, I know what you mean. But it is a good day out. I think the game started about 6.

I didn't know this London dame was on or I would definitely be there

The seats behind home plate are/were £385 each. Seriously.

It's by far the best American sport, and much more nuanced the rounders.

It's a pity that since I moved here the Giants have been crap, but looking forward to getting to a few A's games next season instead.

I was in NY this summer and went to 3 Yankees games in one week. Sat in the same section and felt like a season ticket holder. It was good fun apart from trying to get the subway back into the city. I loved watching it live. Way too long and drawn out on TV for me though.

Baseball is great. Only people who don't understand it don't like it.

It's the only game that I know where a team that's being badly beaten can go on to win in one play.

Good that MLB is coming to London, but baseball in a rectangular park doesn't work very well. There'll be lots of stiff necks the following day.

"Baseball is great. Only people who don't understand it don't like it."

Not getting into a debate about whether baseball is good or not but that's a load of XXXXXX.

It's too slowed paced for me but I'd like to go see a game someday even just for the novelty of it.
