Both scored a hat trick each in a 6-1 home thumping over Scunthorpe, on the 8th November 1958, in front of 23,020 fans

Spoke to AP today, how well does he look, fingers crossed the next player to sign my AP scrapbook

We weren’t even a glint in our respective parents eyes as yet erimus74. Clough and PeaXXXXXX up front. My dad reckoned they were a truly great front two, with AP being very unselfish for Clough’s benefit at the business end

did we lose AP for a bit when he did his national service? Have some vague recollection of seeing him play for the Army v someone (The RAF, The Navy???) in late 50s/early 60s

Peter Taylor was indeed able to accurately throw the ball as far as the half way line.

In the air he was a great keeper

on the ground he was almost equally poor

Never seen another keeper with that glaring disparity between high and low
