Changing the barrel on a multipoint door lock
Is this straight forward or is a locksmith needed?

I can only find a video on YouTube that shows replacement of upvc door barrels.

Changing the barrel on a multipoint door lock
Had to replace my barrel on door couple months ago. Was at work so father in law did it. Bit of a chew on but took about 30 mins (hes good at diy like). Got the barrel for MB on skippers lane

I know it can be done pal but where as you simply unscrew the barrel on the lock face with a upvc door and take out the barrel I'm not sure how you take out the barrel on a wooden multi point locking door.

Do you have to take out the whole multi point lock or can you isolate it like with a upvc door?

Changing the barrel on a multipoint door lock
If it's a euro standard one, then it's really very easy. There's a small screw in the side of the door as you open it - remove that and the lock just slips out.

Replace with one of the same size so that it doesn't stick out too much to the exterior.

Changing the barrel on a multipoint door lock
My door has a long metal strip running the full length of the door. Had to take off the handles then the metal strip with about 16 screw (2 different heads). Guessing this allowed him to get at the main lock with the barrel. Im crap at diy but would have try to fix ours myself if it had been the weekend.
