iPlayer refund and demand issues

Hi, I like others missed last Tuesday's game and the club have stated that it's partly due 2 unforseen demand.
If this is the case would it be fair to assume that now they have a rough idea of the total number of people who are interested they can ensure that the systems will work?

I understand the first game was an automatic refund. Has anyone seen anything about a refund for the second game, or do you reckon we each have to send a complaint via email?

You paid for iPlayer?

Contact the BBC as I am certain that you shouldn't be charged for it.

Haha, I assumed the OP was just referring to RiversideLive

But I'm pretty sure iPlayer requires a season pass to. That is non-optional aswell

Think you have to send an email looking at the website:

'Any subscriber who was affected and wishes to request a refund for the Sheffield United match (pro-rata for seasonal passes) should email supporters@mfc.co.uk with the subject line ‘SUFC Live Refund Request’ and provide the name and email address associated with their subscription, so account and activity logs can be checked to establish the refund amount payable.'

Sent an email on Wednesday to a different MFC address so looks like I'll need to do it again.

I was obviously referring to the Boro website Just couldn't recall it's name at the time.
Just got an e-mail from the club stating it was a separate issue and that it shouldn't happen again.
My question was for those who may have an understand on how these things work.

Isn’t it funny how the club have been caught off guard by “unforeseen demand” despite that fact that loads of us on here last year were screaming that we knew this would be incredibly popular.

But the club and Rob were adamant that demand would be low because they did a XXXXXX survey.

I don’t like bashing the club for the sake of it but they got this so badly wrong both last season and this season that it’s actually quite pathetic.

They will be much more demand this season because UK based fans can get it and Boro RiversideLive is better product from Ifollow.

Priced fair at £10 per game.

The demand would be the same whether it was iFollow or RiversideLive. People just want to watch the match, it’s nice to have all the fancy stuff like replays and extra cameras but being able to watch our team is the first thing we think about.

"RiversideLive is better product from Ifollow."

As it has never worked I am unclear as to how you come to that conclusion.

I have never watched either, my understanding Ifollower is pi*s with one camera feed, riverside live is more 90's coverage with new fad gimmicks. It seems that all failed work correct this season because of the demand out stripping the performance delivery of streamng service.

I'm unlikely to use either because I have a season card so go to the home games and I normal go to watch Stockton Town when the Boro are away.

Myfooty, sadly some of us don't live in the UK so that's not an option.
Watching the games live was an big thing. Of course what with work and the time difference it's not always easy to see every game, hence the frustration with the last week.

iPlayer refund and demand issues

Worked pretty decently for me on Tuesday. I was kicked out a few times and missed the 3rd goal but saw 80% of the game, a mix between browser and iPhone app.

I had many issues with logins and things but when I was able to watch, the product was light years ahead of the iFollow coverage. Not only does iFollow only have 1 camera, it seems like the camera is operated by an YTS trainee who hasn't figured out what the zoom is and has never watched footy so doesn't know when to use it. Our camerawork and production was spot on, it was just like watching it on TV for the most part. I think we'll be good from this weekend onwards and I think it will be good. At least for for home games. For the away games it will be the cack 1 camera stuff.

No idea why it is so expensive, it is significantly more expensive (~$50) than NHL Centre Ice package which allows me to watch every NHL game that isn't on national broadcast (81 per team), for all teams.

The IT team ( based in Paddington) updated it on Wednesday so let's hope it's better.
