Why is someone always to blame?

This transfer window has people blaming everyone, Pulis, Gibson et al.....

I think it's a reflection that people these days feel the need to assign blame when often its just circumstances and no one is truly "to blame" as such.

Have the club actually played a bit of a 'blinder'?

The deals - for whatever reasons- never made it over the line.

However, Everton now have 2 players they wanted to sell and couldn't, on their wage bill.

For us, instead of £24m on 2 players that aren't necessarily premier quality in Bolasie and Besic, and that we may find we struggle to move on IF we go up, we can loan them and do with as we wish at the end of the season..

Maybe Gibson/Bausor have played 'hardball' here and now we maybe have the upper hand...?

Even if we still got Besic on loan that would just put us back to square one, as we already had him last year. No net improvement to squad vs. vs. last season

The fact we lost Traore and didnít get Bollassie means we are minus one tricky/pacy winger vs. Last season.

But certainly spin it as positively as you like anyway.

Bolassie didnt want to drop to the Championship when there were loan deals offered by both Palace and Burnley.

If he now does go out on loan we wont stand a chance against those 2.

Of course someone is to blame - the big question is who? We are in a competitive environment, as such we need to be at our competitive best to be in with a chance of securing promotion.

Not even that. Most of these experts of everything footballer actually call for sackings.

The club would be like a revolving door if some of the self declared experts on here got their way.

We also have what appears to be a rejuvenated Braithwaite back as well, which could allow us to play less one dimensionally than last season where we just gave it to Adama and hoped he'd pull something out his pocket.

Look at our last 3 summer windows, poor recruiting that never seems to fix the holes in our squad, something is clearly wrong. Our last decent goal scoring midfielder was zenden ffs, and we still havenít replaced Adam Johnson.

The blame game is endemic in society in general these days, not just sport, highlighted by social media platforms where every man and his dog can have his say and be listened to.

Keyboard warriors spouting bile as it makes them feel better about themselves.
