Stand up for choice: supporter survey!

Yesterday was a landmark day for football fans when MPs decided they will debate the possible introduction of safe standing in the Premier League, and Championship, on June 25th.
A petition to have the matter discussed reached well over 100,000 signatures last week and the depth of support from not just fans but clubs and indeed MPs is growing and growing. All of our 5 Teesside MPs have expressed their support.
Now it is time for fans to give their views in full. The results of this survey will be presented to government and safety authorities and will no doubt be influential.

Rather a biased set of questions all designed to the answer they want.

An independent organisation should set the questions and send it to all season ticket holders of the 72 clubs.

The silent majority need to have their views taken into account.

I agree, its a totally biased.
Do you believe that all professional football clubs should be able to offer supporters a choice of licensed standing or seated accommodation at their matches should they wish to?
Obviously geared to a yes answer.

Important that this survey receives as many responses as possible. I have a feeling that it could be very influential.

Currently on my way to London for an EFL fan meeting. Safe Standing is first on the agenda.
But yes please do have a look at this survey there could possibly be significant changes to the way we watch football. So have your say.

I will do that and make it sticky - there have been a lot of responses already.
Apparently at Cardiff City the local authority have licensed one area of the ground for home fans to stand behind their seats. That area is sold out - 2000 strong. The stewards crack down elsewhere in the stadium.
There are a lot of things to look at going forward. You may want to sit at away games and cannot see at present. You might feel you would like rail seating - its eeems to add to the atmosphere in Germany.

My email from the petition said the government is happy with the current all seating arrangement. Not an open response before the debate.

How can they issue a license when it's not currently legal or is the law different in Wales?

Rob I have asked you this before but don't think I have had an answer so I will ask you again:

Do you agree that unless and until safe standing becomes a reality all fans at all times other than when celebrating a goal should remain seated thus enabling all fans including the young old and infirm to see and enjoy a game in comfort whether or not the game is played at home or away or on a neutral ground as is their contractual right having bought a ticket for a seated area?

I await your reply.

Just like all online petitions they are valueless unless you have an email and a name. How else do you demonstrate that one person hasn't sat there and filled out 000s of surveys.

emerson - you have asked me loads and loads of times. And no I will not ask for fans to sit down,. I would ask for people to show consideration for those blocked and to try not to block their view but no I am not going to ask for everyone to sit down. It would be futile and I don't know that I agree with it.
But I think for you going forward the best way is for a choice to sit or stand.
